I love this guy because it seems like he never ages. When an artist has control of their career, nobody can tell them they can't sing like that when they're 81 years old. He just seems so young. Nice idea to live by.
I vowed that one day I would see Tony Bennett live on stage. Last sunday night in London that vow was realised. Each song was delivered with true artistry. He conducted the audience as if they where a collective musical instrument designed to produce applause and affection in equal measure. The songs were as ageless as love, and therefore, so is he. He is, in short, a master of his craft with a deep and good soul. God bless him.
