  • omg! I have been looking for this song for years! I heard it in the movie "bloody beach" where I previously kept replaying it to hear the song, but thanks so much for the upload!

  • @bhtrb456546 Here's a tip: at about 75% through the ending credits, the song credits are listed. Usually with who it was originally performed by as well as who performed it during the movie.

  • I am in Indonesia.

I Like This Song and Video. Nice Song and Video.

In 2000, This Song and Video Popular In Indonesia (My Country).

    I Remember With That Moment.

    Greetings From Indonesia.

    Thank You.

    haris.

  • I love Chumbawumba. I've been brought up over the past few years listning to them and not realising - Till I heard Nazi - and became addicted to one of their cd's, then branched off. Now, wysiwyg is one of my fav cds from this lot. I still thank Dad for introducing them to me.

  • really, its a good good song!!! I like so much Chumba!!

  • this song is dedicated to all bitches around the world thx chumbawamba

  • This has been my favourite band since I was 12. I'm 26 now, still love them more than any other band.

  • HURRR DURR THEY ARE A ONE HIT WONDER BECAUSE I ONLY LISTEN TO MTV HEEERRRPPP DERRRRPPPPP I AM A FAGET

  • @NeoSilvanus not cool to say that anything bad is gay or lez. and no, this isn't bad at all. its AWESHUMMMMMMM!

  • Any band that has a way of employing message, wit and humor like this song does earns my seal of approval and a spin in my CD player (or iPod.)

  • I'm really mad that the only song we ever heard here in the US was Tubthumping. It was a great song and all, but what I'm finding out on youtube is that it's nowhere near their best song. I had the same problem with the Proclaimers.

  • i really love the transition between verse to bridge to chorus

    very colorful

  • this is a really pretty song!!!! i love Chumba!!! they're genious!!!!!

  • Great song; reminds me of my daughter.

  • @jono11 ok. I was being kind in my previous comment. I don't see why you'd choose to try to s undiplomatically criticise my view on the subject.

First correction: You can't say "more than what you think" because you don't know what it is that I think. (And it wasn't globally expressed in my previous comment).

Second: Music not not "either classical, jazz or pop" To be specific and loyal to the definition "Pop", I could say "ok" and agree. But... (continues..)

  • cool

  • Yeah. The best song :)

  • 34 ppl have all the friends that money can buy.. x)

  • i love it

  • I rarely sign in here, but I do so just to agree with jono11's very well written comment - this is one of the most under-rated bands of the last 30 years, and all people know is Tubthumping!!

Shows their ignorance, not a lack of Chumbawamba's talent :)

  • Tubthumping and the stuff that revolved around it was their downfall (i would say). To me they've never released a bad record, just happened upon some shit circumstances, which is a shame, because since then they've never bounced back, and they deserve a hell of a lot more than idiots thinking 'i get knocked down' was some sort of 'Simon Cowell' type project. Listen to the back catalogue my friends.

  • I love this one a lot. =0)

  • This song needs more cowbell

  • There's another version of this song where the female lead sings the verses, I think prefer it; great song

  • They are the most musically diverse, political sharp band that has EVER existed. And with lots of great, political songs,so this one-hit-wonder babble HAS to stop!

  • Comment removed

  • how could i get the mp3? :D

  • Dude, this is like the best song EVER!

  • What a good song ;-) Love it

  • Comment removed

  • I'm not a fan of this group but I'll always remember this song because of this excellent line: "You can buy your friends, but I'll hate you for free" LOL

  • Comment removed

  • Real music. How refreshing.

  • Everybody shut up with the political bullshit and enjoy the fucking song. :]

  • versace and prada? they mean nothing 2 me.

well, u can buy your friends,

    but i'll hate u 4 free!

  • @pharao707

Fun fact: My new ex-gf loved Versace and Prada. She was always very much ashamed of me.

    ...the more you know. :-)

  • @h4rl3k1n u got her number? i got some nice fakes

  • new lp out march first abcdefg sounds good

  • Where can I download this song?

  • i love this song so cool

  • ThePirateCity! Tho I dont condone downloading! (;

  • does anyone have any idea what the chords are?

  • mah... anvedi questi....

  • SUCK IT

  • Shit I was going to click on 'play' and accidentally cliiked on the 'one star' rate, fuck you youtube! change the rate star positions! grrr

  • stupenda!! pure lacrime!

  • "libertarians" (not the party) are a mixture of the left and the right. Left on social aspects such as anti-racism, pro-immigration, etc. Right on economic aspects such as free-markets, gun freedom, etc. Anarcho-Capitalism/Agorism/Voluntarism/Free-Markets are the way to go!

Also, fav lyric from this song: "but I'll hate you for free" :)

  • Yea, free market rocks.

It totally shows us that capitalism roxxx atm with the world going like shit.

Besides, it doesnt regulate itself: Look at bill gates. From nothing to the richest man on earth. Clearly hi's fortune is not a reflection of his hard work - only the unbalanced free market.

    Read more book, dude:)

  • ehm. you see somewhere free market? me not.

  • @xxphase

you mean Read more books, dude not book

  • actually if your using a computer of any kind then you are using many microprocessors, micro-chips, and software that was produced by microsoft which is run by bill gates. So bill did a lot of work when he made microsft and he deserves his money, because he made computers affordable for the masses. I dont remember ther being computers in communist poland when i was growing up, but the were everwhere when i came to america .

  • There is so much wrong with what you just said. Bill gates is responsible for windows, that is it, and he actually did that with someone else.

And really? How about communist russia beating capitalist America to the moon?

  • @WhiteTiger225 Communist Russia got the first object, animal, man, and woman in /space/. They never got to the moon. Only America has ever done that (unless they faked it, of course).

  • @hansellius Oh I am not saying they are perfect, In the end, I am trying to say every form of government has their big gaping holes that they try to ignore XD

  • Space* lol Sputnik afterall.

  • you do know sputnik was designed by german scientists after world war 2, besides capitalism made satelite TV. you dont so too many soviet TV satelites do you now

  • @kubaniski I could be wrong, but I think you're mixing things up slightly. IIRC, end of WWII, the V2 construction facility was on the Russian side of the division of Germany. America got about 100 V2 rockets and most of the scientists (incl. Werner von Braun, leader of the dev. team) while Russia got hundreds of V2's. Russia reverse-engineered stuff, while America asked von Braun's, in return for not trying him for war crimes. So really, the Apollo missions were done by Germans, not Sputnik.

  • Capitalism is the definite way to go

  • "but i get up again. you're never gonna keep me down." maybe you should give it a listen with different ears.

  • dude the sound is way off from the video lol

  • inorite?

It looks a little silly, actually.

  • check out "english rebel songs" and "pictures of starving children sell records; charity, starvation and rock'n'roll" for a taste of where they come from.

  • 'pictures of starving children' was the first Chumba LP I bought in 1992. Brilliant album. Punk cabaret!

  • good music love chumba been a fan of theres for years,..and hunger put the sparkle back in television

  • i'm pretty sure these guys r british

  • No, really? :-)

  • Paris Hilton.

  • yep paris hilton

  • Ƞ:ʒʅʎ಍ऑŁᦒ婛綃綃綄

  • Ƞ:ʒʅʎ಍ऑŁᦒ婛綃綃綄 lol

  • i ♥ this song so fucking much :)

  • I ♥ this song 8D

  • how u get the heart ????

  • Alt + 3 on the keypad.

  • i think u put <3 nope i think i am wrong

  • I need MORE MORE MORE! They never will put out enough Chumbawamba CD's to asuage me.

  • 0:30, upper left corner.

Is that a man or a woman?

  • Man with toupee ;)

  • that is a woman

  • idiot tht is a guy i no the band go check there myspace u just think apon looks

  • hahaha okay i am a stupid

  • thats a woman! she sings 'danny boy' in tubthumping

  • i know! lol this song is about a rich girl with alot of money

  • Chumbawamba may be considered a 1-hit wonder here in the US, but I personally think they have a ton of great songs like "Jacob's Ladder", "Sometimes Plunder", "Mary Mary", "Timebomb", "Just Desserts", "This Girl", "Celebration, Florida", "Top Of The World", "Everything You Know Is Wrong", and of course this song.

  • lol us 1 hit wonder maby but frikking best band evea in irlind thts funny on myspace thay just rly started making more songs and maby more songs

  • Chumbawamba were not one hit wonders - how do you explain all of the follow-up albums ? :>

  • what do you mean by that?

  • People are saying that Chumba were one-hit wonders, but they cant be if they have a load of albumns.

  • Chumbabwamba have been around for over 25 years and have released many, many great songs. If you get your information from MTV, Radio playlists or most of the press, they have only ever released one song. Tubthumping. After that they mysteriously disappeared. But I don't think having top pop smash "hits" was ever really the point... This is a great video, by the way.

  • @angstriddenyouth truth, Amnesia is still my favorite though

  • Comment removed

  • @soljaboylover123 They are still going!! Though a few bodies have disappeared along the way..

  • Comment removed

  • @angstriddenyouth Again, one hit wodner does not mean they have one song. It means they have only one song that they are known for that was popular (MC Hammer is the prime example of this, as is Vanilla Ice if you do not count his quick little rap in the Ninja Turtles movie)

MC Hammer for example had lots of fun tracks, but only "Can't touch This" ever made any kind of impact in the popular market, hence the term "One Hit Wonder"

  • They're considered one-hit wonders by people who don't fucking count. By people who think music is measured by the records it sells. Fuck that. Music is measured by its influence and effect. Chumbawamba created the modern musical collective, revolutionized live rock music, and experimented with more genres than maybe any other pop group.

  • Ok, i gave you a green thumb for SyanideXPoison (who still seems to glean things from the reality of tv-land) , but still... What's one of their IChumb's) intents? Money? If so, then their music's less of a pure form of art.

  • Their intent? I don't know. I would imagine that ONE of their intents is to make money. But I think it's a bit silly to act as if that somehow compromises art in a way that other art isn't compromised. If a creator sells their work in any way at all, they have compromised, they have sold out, they have altered their work to make it consumable. If creators were fully honest, their work would be unintelligible. So the whole sellout/purity/integrity thing rings a bit hollow to me.

  • I guess it depends on how you define art. I define it as an expression of the soul and/or spirit, which money has nothing to do with.

Furthermore, when one looks even closer at money, itself, like fractional reserve banking or debt-- it seems to have little to do with anything! (except itself, artificially imposed upon and infecting everything with a "whatever one can get away with." In short; scams, shams and snake oils (in this case in the form of so-called art). ;P

    Hollow indeed.

  • "I guess it depends on how you define art."--I don't define it. It can't be defined.

"an expression of the soul and/or spirit, which money has nothing to do with."--And yet, Thomas Kinkade remains an artist. I say your definition is limited.

"it seems to have little to do with anything!"--Quite high-minded of you. I'm waiting to hear how your rejection of money turns out.

Creators must make compromises. You show me an artist who doesn't, and I'll show you an artist who has to have a day job.

  • > I don't define it. It can't be defined.

Well I did qualify that with 'guess'. At any rate, my interest is in part with its context, intent and effects-- stuff like that-- likewise with money, or whatever have you. Some forms of money and art in some contexts have been rejected.

I also suggest that a certain preponderance of the art-for-money kind could increase the risk of some deterioration of the, say, "mental/visual/cultural landscape".

    We all make compromises.

  • sure it can be defined.

i can have my own conception of art.

art can't have a general definition.

  • @jono11 Chumbawamba call themselves a one-hit wonder in fact it's in one of their song lyrics i believe or at least they added it in the gig I saw a few nights ago

  • @the2185cadet Yes they like to poke fun at themselves and how society portrays people like them.

  • @kinkysexwithbacon Did you ever hear the song where they proposed using "Tubthumping" as torture for the terrorists? I can't remember what it was called... it was on their second-to-last album ("The Boy Bands Have Won") I think.

  • @jono11 Hear hear! Chumbawamba's one of the few bands (except maybe They Might Be Giants) where I'm actually enthusiastic when I hear they're making a new album.

  • @jono11 One Hit Wonder is a term based on popularity dear, not quality. One Hit, Hit... Hit meaning "A Success" in the music industry. Chumawamba is only truely famous for one song, and that is it. So they ARE a one hit wonder by the very definition of the phrase. BUT since you are a fanboy I am betting this all went in one ear and will come out your mouth all garbled and calling me a capitalist pig.

  • @WhiteTiger225 One hit wonder is a term that is only properly applied to bands of a lesser intellectual substance. A band with a back catalog longer than your arm that enjoyed quite a bit of popularity in the UK is not a one-hit wonder. They may satisfy the letter of the term, but not the spirit of it. It is ignorant and reflective of a poor understanding of music to apply it to this band.

"Capitalist pig"? You think I listen to these guys for the politics? Ridiculous. Art is bigger than that.

  • @jono11 "A one-hit wonder is a person or act known mainly for only a single success. The term is most often used to describe music performers with only one hit single."

    Care to play again? :D

  • @jono11 Only one thing, mate.. they're not Pop.. at all.

Can't you feel that (anarchist) punk vibe to them (and to their lyrics)?

well said for all the rest.

Ah, another thing.. :"by it's influence and effect"..well.. on the basis of the fact that quality music is not really appreciated by the masses as a whole.. thus "influence" is absent often.. I'd say more "Creativity", "capability", "quality", etc..

    ;-)

  • @HolosNauta Pop music is more than what you think it is. Music is either classical, jazz, or pop. Chumbawamba are decidedly pop. And even by the narrow definition you apply, this song, and at this point most of their material, is pop. (And by the way, their anarcho-punk stuff was shit.)

As far as influence and effect, there's more to those things than just record sales. I don't care how many singles they sold, they've had tremendous influence.

  • @jono11 (..continued) Rock, Metal, Avant-Garde, Electronica, etc.. they all could be included in the macro category of "pop", but they are not all genres that actually are "POP"ular. And then, where would you put Folk? and A Capella? Please don't say under "classical". that would be very ignorant.

Third: What would this "narrow definition" be, good man? If you have to say something... let it be an objective observation next time, ok?

Fourth:Their Anarcho-Punk stuff was shit... according to YOU.

  • @jono11 .. You can't express your judgement as if it were absolute. In my opinion, the concepts and lyrics in their Anarcho-punk period were brilliant.

Fifth: As a matter of fact I wasn't referring to record sales. But I thought I was talking to an intelligent person.

Tell me, How have they had tremendous influence... on what?

Oh..P.S.: technically, the word "either" is used between only two elements. But that's not a major error.

    good day.

  • @HolosNauta Wow, I have to say, Holos, you make an excellent debater, props.

  • @Krandolph17 Ah, cheers mate.

one should try to get things straight and clear, I believe..

    good day

  • @jono11 ,NO THEYRE FUCKING SHIT, AND IF YOU THINK THEYRE GOOD THEN YOURE JUST AS BIG A TWAT.

  • @garethella Dude, you like AC/DC and 10cc. Maybe you're not quite the person to talk?

  • @jono11 ,REAL MUSIC FROM REAL MUSICIANS , NOT THESE COCKENDS.

  • @garethella Dude, can I just say that you throwing that around is stupid. People like the music they like. And actually - I personally believe that these guys are proper musical Geniuses! I've been brought up around music - and on every album, they do something diffrent. Look for Timebomb, then Tubthumping, then The Big Issue. You'll see.

  • @KidnapsNinja ,i dont think so, but well done for your calm measured reply.

  • ska punk ?

  • good song :) didnt think id like back in the day music but this is kinda good :)

  • Chumbawamba, one of the best bands ever!

    So original and inspiring.

  • nice

  • Love them since 90's, love them still!

  • good song :D!!!

  • radio hit?! are you serious? The stations here tossed it after their first listen they said it was the worst attempt for a comeback they ever heard...tragic song

  • It's kind of nice

  • HEY.

    SOME OF US LIKE IT.

So if you're gonna be mean, just don't bother commenting.

  • Why should a comment always be positive?

  • Why should a comment be positive?

  • The radio dont like playing this music the censorhip would be on there backs

  • i love it !

  • It was the radio hit when i was 6 :), now i'm 18 and it's nice to remember that :)

  • Magnificent video...:D

  • such a great song

  • Agreed! Superbly great! ;)

  • i missed this song :(....ive been thinking up the lyrics of this song since i heard it on radio in 2000 (i was 10 at the time)so now finally i thought ok...i found "The Way" By Fastball... i BET i could find this song too :D

  • What a fantastic post-punk band from Leeds.

I have two of their CD's and never found another after that. Rich in talent..unique and playful! Miss 'em on the radio here in the USA. Thanks for this post!

  • Anarchy!!!! Now give me all your shit. I do that to all the anarchists I meet and it scares the hell out of them.

  • then you've obviously confused anarchism (aka libertarian socialism, a broad array of political philosophies advocating a non-hierarchical political and economic structure) with something else. that's you're bad.

  • I don't know that anarchy is libertarian socialism. More like what libertarianism would be if socialists were libertarians--to me, there's a distinction. Because in pure anarchy, I don't think there's any room for socialism; it's kind of why I'm not an anarchist.

  • the word "libertarian" was invented by anarchists to refer to our vision of socialism (ie libertarian socialism) over a century ago, capitalists only started using it to refer to themselves very recently. and anarchism is and has always been a socialist movement. anyone who says differently doesn't know their history.

  • It can originate from that but they are ideologically opposed. And anyone who says differently is being fucking foolish. See how I did that? Made it into some collective reasoning to generalize about everyone. Good times.

  • It can originate from that but they are ideologically opposed. And anyone who says differently is being fucking foolish. See how I did that? Made it into some collective reasoning to generalize about everyone. Good times. Also Libertarians were considered classical liberals before liberals perverted the term. Forcing someone to live for someone else is not freedom. No matter how you fucking spin it.

  • reminds me of an apple commercial

  • awesome. anarchists rock.

  • awsome

  • true working class heros !!

  • They r like one of my favorite bands

  • Ehh not bad. Where are these guys from again?

  • leeds

  • fantastic & awesome song ;)

  • Good song (not on US Modern Rock or even US Radio) that should've been a hit.

    I love these punk-rockers.

  • that's what everyone wants you to think so ;)

they're pretty cool, just gotta to know them better...

i thought it's the most retarded country of all, but now, after being there 2 years i'll bring most great memories

  • "Well you can buy your friends, but I'll hate you for free."

    Words to live by.

  • lol yup lol

  • Amen to that!

  • Chumbawamba just flat out rocks! Thanks for the music guys (and gals).

  • chumbawamba.. chum is my favorite word

    alright chum? lol :)
