Brilliant CD. Nice to know that there is a band other than Rush than can continue to put out a quality CD. Even in the face of adversity of MP leaving the band. Dream Theater held auditions for "talented" drummers and came out and put out a quality CD. Maybe Queensryche will take notes and hold auditions for a guitarist to fill the big shoes of Degarmo. Instead of hiring the Klingon Kelly Gray.

As much as I enjoyed Portnoy's contribution to the band from Images and Words to Black Clouds and Silver Linings, it seems as if he thought that he was the center of attention. Not to mention that Myung hasn't wrote a song since Fatal Tragedy, but now he got the chance to again. With or without Mike, Dream Theater will survive as they have.

@Ejdzbiol91 .....The cd is great........may have its little parts that could have been left out.......but w/e................Portnoy was great, but Mingini is better.........I saw them two nights ago and they were amazing............nobody seemed to be missing Portnoy.....If u are a drummer, like I am, you can hear the complexity in the drum parts that MM did that MP could never pull off....just means w/MM theres room for improvement from what MP brought (which was great) to the table.
