*Sigh* Now i want to go back and re-play this game.....and it's only been a year since i re-played it. Yup, despite the abysmal camera, it's THAT good ^_^
Anyone other than me see some strong resemblances in chord progression between this song and BJ Thomas's version of "Hooked on a Feeling".
Forget about the awful version by Blue Suede, although it was a Number One Hit, you can hear the emotions with BJ Thomas just like with the emotional melody of this song.
Back when I played Atlantica Online, I modded the town music for all the east-Asian cities so it played this song. Improved the game's experience 100-fold.
If we all like this game then let's email nintendo asking them to put Mystical Ninja on the Virtual Console and also i just realized that the Intro and Oedo Town are same put no lyrics.
dude its not just like relationships, its like life itself, growing up n shit. i hear this music n it brings me back to a better time in my life.. this song is rad
Video games are kind of like relationships. The early ones just have so much more excitement, and wonder to it than later on, and when you get older, and you play more games, only then do you truly appreciate how good you had it.
@imnotsayinmyname until they release skyrim or something perfect for us and then were hooked for life and realise all those games we played when we were younger were just childsplay :) sorry i had to fit in that metaphor to yours, as im in love LOL. and old-ish! Well, not even old at all, im 25, but Im in love :) and im definately not a kid! Wait... what am i listening to ROFL
I used to love this game thank god for youtube because for a long time i forgot the name until i stumbled upon it.I thought i was the only one who liked the music, sometimes that was all i did was listen to the music oh what good days those were
Sigh Havent played this game since i was 8(17 years ago because now I cant find it anymore this was #1 in IGN's Hardest to find in '05. If you found a copy in shop, swapmeet yardsale, clearence bin at gamestop.ect, concider yourself lucky!
I went to tokyo a few weeks ago and was whistling these tunes all day. A kid on the street recognized the common 'town theme' (zazen, oedo, folkypoke, sogen) that gets altered from place to place. We didnt speak the same language but he started whistling back. It was the most trippy and cool thing that has happened to me in years.

yeah it got me shivering ... but im an emo fag ... (not really xD ... well besides for the fag part ... and besides if you mean emotional ... not the rejected goth looking weakling)
Mario's OK (maybe oversaturated), but I like Goemon more. Sometimes I wish Goemon had more exposure, but it doesn't need to be a huge franchise to be good. *.*
Oh my goodness this really does bring back so many memories, used to rent this game ALOT. I was about 10 or so and I would hum the tunes in the game, my mom would laugh, she'd hear me humming while I played it in my room, lol
I was almost the only girl in my class who played games all the time and rented them all the time.

If Black Ops had a soundtrack like this, the game would be ten times better.

I love this song and I have never even played this game. Sounds so nostalgic even though it isn't (to me, anyway).

Talk about being ahead of it's time when it was released, this game was almost as good as Mario 64!
Gxyz222 1 year ago
@Gxyz222 Imho it was WAY better than Super Mario 64!
Quietschquatsch 1 year ago
@Quietschquatsch, in alot of ways it was, but I would prefer the Goemon cast do more acrobatic stunts, THEN it would be better!

Look at the sky, peeping through the clouds,
you can see just how big the sky really is,
even if the harsh winds are up to take you away,
live your life the way YOU want it, that is the destiny for many!
Fight on, fight on, there is more than one dream!
If we reach for it hard enough... take a chance!
Fight on, fight on, never giving up,
let's start our journey as we whistle along:"Going now!"

Even when i had to get stitches on my hand and it was really awkward to play it.

It's not really surprising. While the series is sadly unknown in Europe and America, it's the complete opposite in Japan.
