just a side note..... a stock 87 -93 lx mustang will do mid 11's with a 300 h.p fogger juice set up with 3;27 gears and slicks and skinnys thats it!!! seen it run many times until he split it down the middle on a juice back fire!!! or blow 3rd gear!!!

@50tussin The car is completely apart now getting a new setup. It will still look the same once done, but be much faster. I think the 1/8 mile was 6.99.
@RubberSideDown1000 TMoss is very good and I think he really enjoys working on them. You should see my new intake he did. I'm still building the upper. It's a fully ported Holley Systemax I intake that mates to a stock 5.0 upper that flows 308-320 CFM with redesigned runners. The upper will just be a box with 90MM TB hidden within a stock 5.0 upper.
@momanddad007 He never said it was stock, he said the bottom end was stock. The block, pistons, crank. Some people are clueless. It's a well known fact that a "stock" bottom end with factory forged pistons can handle a lot of abuse. Back in the day there was a guy who had a stock bottom end, but everything on top of it was bad ass stuff, topping it off with two 150hp nos plates (he swapped over to carb) Anyways, he ran 10's every weekend until his fuel pump went & he grenaded it 7 months later.
@momanddad007 You'd be surprised what these cars can do, 5.0 mustang and fast fords took a stock notch and put it in the 11's without any motor work what so ever, just weight reduction and traction devices, my 89 vert with a supercharger and stock motor and balls out suspension ran 10.90 on my first run ever.
Anyway you could post up an idle vid of your car? Cam finally came in today,,trying to go for that "sleeper" sound. Or if you could just tell me if it sounds like a stock cam at idle? THANKS!
@19jody72 I don't have any idle videos and the engine is now on a stand. Building a different combo for the car. It was not real choppy, but you could tell it had a cam in it.

I say powershift, its not necessary on non-boosted cars. but even if it is not boosted,
powershifting is a good way to get through the gears quicker and it keeps it full throttle the whole time. Just dont do it a lot, bad for synchros, transmission, but it doesnt fuck it up. Your the only person who could fuck it up.
@hiasdamoon You really have no clue. Powershifting may gain a tiny tiny bit of ET, but will destroy a synchronized transmission if repeatedly done. Those nice little crunch sounds are the engagement teeth and the sliders shipping away at each other. Also what happens if you miss a gear while WFO on nitrous? ZIIIIIINNNNNNGGGG
@Bornn368 The car ran and drove just fine on the street. I didn't collect stats on it mileage, but should've got 20-25MPG depending on city highway and taking it easy. This wasn't a radical setup. No overheating or idling issues in traffic or at a light.
unreal!!!! Can you tell me how you have the NOS hooked up? I was about toget a kit for mine, and see where some have the WOT switch hooked up, and some grounds run to the shifter to where it wont trigger the NOS unless it hits the stops on the shifter at WOT. Sounds like a fool proof way if you powershift while the NOS is on..??? By the way, VERY IMPRESSIVE!!
@19jody72 Yes it would be. Never had an issue. Also I never ever power shift a T5. Always lift off the gas on the shifts and they live much easier. A good shifter and precise shifts are a must.
@19jody72 There a bolt behind the wheel you can tighten. Its YOU! Don't drag race and shit till you can shift. Yeah miss shifting happens but you're worried about it behind the wheel of... your computer. Go to the strip and practice. Start shifting slowly but accurately and just build up to quick accurate shifts. Or like vetklr said, don't powershift, but that doesn't excuse you from not practicing.

I actually copied this entire article for my build a couple years ago. it makes 390hp at the crank. the cam is not stock, its a comp cam id have to look at the spec sheet, matching edelbrock performer rpm heads and intake, only thing stock was the long block. he who makes the most power is not alwasy the fastest, this boy knows how to drive!
You should read through the comments. You'll find all the info listed somewhere. True stock 5.0 intake with lower ported and upper opened to match the TB. My next stock ported/homemade 5.0 intake with 90mm TB will be on a 363CI in a man-o-war block on 250+ nitrous shot. Will be running a 26x8.5 Outlaw class. The car will look as it did in the videos tailpipes and all. Hoping for low 6s or faster. The 10.9 runs were 6.99 1/8 with previous setup.
I'm assuming its running gt40/gt40p's, "stock" explorer/cobra upper/lower? theres no way I can believe a e7 headed motor with a stock or ported non gt40 intake on spray ran 10.90's. I run the same times on my gt40 top end, b cam, and 200 shot.
@615motorsports1 it is posible the factory stock class is running low 11's and a few 10's with the gt40p uppers cam with less than 400 lift 313ci and no power adders so your combo should go even faster

@5literkid34 One of the Mustang magazines built a 400hp 5.0L Mustang engine, and onlly put aluminum heads on it. stock cam and everything. i wish i remembered what one it was though.

@xStealthxSniperx it was hot rod magazine about 4 or 5 years ago as part of their "junkyard jewels" series of articles. I actually copied this entire article for my build a couple years ago. it makes 390hp at the crank. the cam is not stock, its a comp cam id have to look at the spec sheet, matching edelbrock performer rpm heads and intake, only thing stock was the long block. he who makes the most power is not alwasy the fastest, this boy knows how to drive!

You should read through the comments. You'll find all the info listed somewhere. True stock 5.0 intake with lower ported and upper opened to match the TB. My next stock ported/homemade 5.0 intake with 90mm TB will be on a 363CI in a man-o-war block on 250+ nitrous shot. Will be running a 26x8.5 Outlaw class. The car will look as it did in the videos tailpipes and all. Hoping for low 6s or faster. The 10.9 runs were 6.99 1/8 with previous setup.

I'm assuming its running gt40/gt40p's, "stock" explorer/cobra upper/lower? theres no way I can believe a e7 headed motor with a stock or ported non gt40 intake on spray ran 10.90's. I run the same times on my gt40 top end, b cam, and 200 shot.

@615motorsports1 it is posible the factory stock class is running low 11's and a few 10's with the gt40p uppers cam with less than 400 lift 313ci and no power adders so your combo should go even faster

I second that bigdaddy,although that boy can drive a five,and ten holes never looked as good as that rear shot LOL tens on 5000?wow I can't wait till I got 5000 in my 83 vert it should be in the 8's lol I got bout 2500 in it or less,and it ran a 6.88 in the eighth mile.with quartermile gear(4.10)
