  • Ive been told this is to be sung in the same tempo throughout ...even the middle section...does anyone know if this is an interperative decision?...stunningly performed in every way.

  • can someone post the lyrics? Thanks

  • @ZKJonathan The lyrics are written underneath the music ...plus im pretty sure if you google them ul find them.

  • Jesus is amazing!!! he blessed Handel with such a gift and Handel loved setting bible text to music

  • Beautiful; how could this be any better?!

  • Beautiful, flowing, artistic and spiritual at the same time. A very rare achievement.

  • @glitterxmouthx Its an Oratorio. It is similar to an Opera but without the scenery.

  • good job! ((: What genre is this?

  • @glitterxmouthx This is Baroque.

  • Brava! This is beautiful; I must say!

  • I WONDER WHY this Famous Michael Jackson, throw with his silver has left and has right cannot write a small check there to this Elizabeth who is OBVIOUSLY ONE incontestable genius ' VOCAL ART? what what it can develop it? Answer SVP me!!!!

  • I love this singer! So crisp, so clear. And her tempo is perfect...not too fast, not to slow! I think a lot of sopranos race through this piece too often and it losses its meaning...Brava Mm. Parcells!

  • With out question one of the best coloraturas of all time!! FANTASTIC!

  • this is amazing. its just what i needed. im doing this song for my voice lesson recital and this is perfect to help me practice. thank you so much!

  • rest in peace

  • I have never heard a coloratura soprano who can add such beautiful oramentation to her singing as Elizabeth Parcells. She also sings in the tempo as written by Handel who i reckon would have loved Elizabeth to bits!.

  • Gorgeous ornamentations!

  • Really, really good!

  • A really gifted lady!

  • it would be great that the performer sings the song in the original tempo. By the way, great idea!

  • @mechulina006 Were you at the first performance of Messiah, that you know the "original tempo?" There are a thousand definitions of "Allegro," after all, and she evidently chose this tempo with excellent reason -- the fact that at that tempo, she can still sing those wonderful melismas in an immaculate legato and in one breath. And she sounds as splendid as only she can!

  • great idea !!

  • Bravo!!!! Thank you.

  • Brava!
