#2 it's restored. why would you rebuild a motor and put the old cam back in?

Plus it's really not restored, that looks like a Edlebrock 4 barrel, not stock on any Ford I know of.

ive seen many rebuilds where people put the old cam back in, and why spend the extra few hundred if you dont have too.

And just becuase its "massively lopy" doesnt they just put that cam in, that cam may have been installed in a previous rebuild

this comment is to kletkerobert...uhh...there is no timiing belt...it's just the harmonic balancer and the carb adjustments would have anything to do with firing order and timing..and if you notice that once buddy flanks the car he's adjusting the timeing as you can see when he's twisting the distributor

Guys did an awesome job on the Resto, but appear to be amaetuers when it comes to engines.....If I cant get one to start within about 5 seconds of spinning it tells me something is WRONG or I forgot to fill the carb with fuel before hand DOH...not to mention on FIRST Start up you reallly are not supposed to let an engine IDLE supposed to be brought up some and held there and alternate the RPMS up and down....all for break in...But All in all Beautiful car.
