Yes, I agree. That is why I stopped increasing when you did in the video. I see some folding happening on the corners, but will see what happens in the end. I might end up taking some rows apart because it might be too big, lol. But if I achieve what I am hoping to achieve, I will let you know about it, so if someone asks in the future you can answer.
Now I have to go study. I have finals in math next with.
I hope you have a great day, keep up your great videos, you give me good ideas.
No, I am trying to make a rectangular basket. Do you think is going to work?
I am crocheting it, I haven't got time to do much of it. I have to work on some stuff for college, but as soon as I get the chance I continue. I just don't see it flipping up. It scares me a little lol.
Thank you so much T. I've been looking for this for forever. My mom wants me to make her rectangles so she can use them for the sugar packets. Hopefully comes out good when I try it.
Hi Teresa. Ty for your videos, they are easy and helpful.
I have a question: do you know how to make darts with crochet, to give a tailored appearance to tops? I would love any help you may have as I have searched quite a bit with no success for information. Thanks again!
hi teresa ive learned so much with your videos ive tried everething looms 2 neadles but crochet was one that was giing me a bad time with your tutorials ive learned so much thankyou god bless keep up the good work i admire you !!!!!
Have you ever done an afghan making one big rectangle? And if so can you tell me how to figure it so that it does not have to be really, really long to get a good width?
I'm a member of CP so will see it if you post it there.
claysdee, what I would suggest you do is this. Say you want your afghan's width to be 40 inches and you want its length to be 60 inches. Subtract the width from the length, so 60 - 40 = 20 inches. So what you'll want to do is make your sc foundation (excluding the first and last stitches of the foundation) 20 inches long. Then simply adapt the pattern here to incorporate your desired sc foundation length.
Will you be posting some written directions and also, I hate keep asking questions, but how would you start this without the Foundation single crochet?
I will be posting written instructions. I started with a foundation of 12, so if you want to use the chain, you will chain 12, + 3 for the first DC. It will all be worked the same from there.
Wahoooo!! I get to be the first to comment!! I am gonna use this square in conjunction with another granny square type thing I am doing. Thanks for the inspiration!! ;-)
I would whip stitch them together using yarn from either block motif so the yarn blends and you do not see the stitching. There are a lot of quilting designs that can be crocheted.
Thank you, thank you Teresa! I got it, but only because your videos. Pat

@almonds2knitt If you continue increasing in the corners, it will lay flat.

@kellypinklily You can use the single crochet. You may need to modify the corner increases and use less for the shorter stitch.

No I didnt get anything from you lately except this one. how would join these for the lag cabin blanket?

I was thinking that this might be a way to make some log cabin quilt type afghans using a variety of sizes.
