Dont listen to them dumb asses i have a probe no turbo and i put a turbo trans in it i port and polishd then intake and cut muffler and thats it i i beat a 5.0 high output trans am by 7cars and its the low end probe 5speed.. The turbo is even faster so fuck all u haters and by the way y are u dumbasses even looking up probe shit if u hate it so much get a life and maybe even a job and grow the fuck up... ok im talkin from experience i use to own a 89 probe gt just like that one. i did a buck35 on the highway and it still wanted to keep going and all my car had done was a cherry bomb exhuast with an aftermarket air filter. it hauled ass but my probe is now in the junkyard probaly crushed i sold it for 125 bucks and im glad i did it probes are nuttin but a headache to get rid & there a piece of shit car i will never ever in my life own another ford.2nd gends are slower then 1st gens

if you are that much of a moron saying the gauge is broke even tho it wouldnt be working if it was broke u fucking douche...and this car will do that really easy...i highly recomend putting a boost controller on it and run 11 psi...i did that and ran a 15.2 at 94 mph at Martin, MI

that gauge isn't broke 1st gen probes r notorious for speedo lag and they will go at least 140 at 4600 ft elevation also the car is pullin 5grand in fifth which means its goin faster than 105

you need the probinator chip $35 installed (eliminates fuel cut at 12PSI). get a TurboXS Boost Controller ~$50. Get a CAI or Short Ram. Cat back that sucker 3 inch all the way baby!. big FMIC. You'll be pullin low 14's high 13's. *might want to gut the interior too! lol...

Have you thought of investing in a boost controller? E-bay:turbo X's manual boost controller (Avg. $70) is easy to install and you can push up to 10.5psi. Kills it at 12psi unless you get a new ECU. At that point the turbo can handle 16psi just fine. I wouldn't go higher on that stock IHI turbo.

to b honest that was one of the slower climbs for a first gen probe gt, trust me i own one with 140k on it and have had it still climbin near 140 (based on the tach) at 3500+ elvation and the speedo jump is common because the delay in the gauge is a little to much mine does it once in a while, but yes the turbo probe is a sleeper especially for any 350 TPI Irocs lol
