The anime was done really bad although it was good dont get me wrong the way they made it look awas bad and just for people to know she doesnt die like that lol i guess the anime just made that part up with the whole bell and her birthday bullshit etc :P
i'm so glad that that creepy girl with the glasses that enjoys sword fights was not in the anime to bad she is in the manga (well it's a sacrafice but it is still the best manga ive read)

He's a chain-smokin', hard-drinkin', pervin' ermine and con-artist, always on the look out for a chance to make money or spy on beautiful women. On the other hand, he's incredibly loyal to Negi, due to Negi rescuing him from a hunters' trap when he was younger.
