The movie makers had their own reasons to change the actors. For this film was made in 1998 and by that time the old actors weren't kids anymore. The new actors weren't professional ones, and up til now only Micheal O'laskey (Colt) remained in acting career, but they did try though.

Haha wow, I don't wanna repeat and say the new actors suck, but they do. Plus their new personalities changed. Rocky is more of a classic teenager than any resemblance of the semi-leader that cared about his brothers. Colt actually AGREED with Rocky when they talked, and Tum tum....is just annoying as opposed to funny. A sad attempt to recreate what was pretty good. Its like trying to replace your old horse that is too old to run with a donkey.
