It's not so much the music and war itself that makes this so emotional. It's Conker's innocent face and horrified expression. Ironically, it takes an unreal character to make something like war all the more real for the those of us who have never actually experienced it. You'd see Conker's look on the face of any kid entering a real battlefield for the first time.
