  • I didnt know until recently that Lindsay was born in the same town as me small world !

  • audio/quality is so horrible. but of course, a million thanks for uploading, im sure finding better quality is difficult

  • Thanks for this Chunka. This conjures up exciting Traverse Theatre days in the late 60's for me.

  • Thank you very much for uploading this! :-)

    Loved the "Columbine" song.

  • Do you have the rest of the film? Seems very interesting in a very creepy way.(now I understand why all the kids(counting me) are afraid of lowns XD). Anyways, mime is cool, no matter what they say :D

  • I'm afraid I don't, but you can see it in full on the DVD "Love You Till Tuesday".

  • @AijaP Who are they?

  • Bowie was lovers with Lindsay Kemp. When he broke up with Lindsay, he was so distraught that he tried to slash his wrists.

This comment is for people who understand that Bowie IS bisexual and was once very out of the closet. It was NOT a publicity stunt. He made up all that crap about never having been gay to break into the America mainstream and make money, which he was unable to do before he started pretending to be straight.

  • I agree with you:)

  • @strangeparty

Very good comment, though to clarify a little, I should add that it was Lindsay who was suicidal after the breakup.

  • o__o that was a handsome harlequin(finally XD)very creepy specially the ending,but interesting,thanks for sharing

  • What year was this?

  • 67/68

  • is this version of 'when i live my dream' available somewhere?

  • its beautiful

  • I'm seriously going to have nighmares. what the HELL is this?!?!

  • I guess you could call it 'experimental Mime'. Or you could call it slightly creepy and weird, since it is. :P

  • Slightly? Ha Ha!

  • @Chunkazoota Well, it'salso foreighn. I guess british and European television was always stranger and certainly more high-class than American TV,.. especialy back in the 60's. Hell, THIS was when American television was crap like I Dream Of Jeanie, Andy Griffith and the like!

  • I'm planning to buy this on the LYTT DVD. It's nice to see a preview. One reviewer said "Shame on you, Lindsey Kemp" But it's not all his fault!! hahaha

  • this is featured as a bonus on the Love you tiLl tuesday DVD...

  • Oh my God! You've no idea how amazing this is for me to finally see a clip of something I've read about so many times, and to finally hear this music in context. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

  • You are so welcome!!

  • I've been DYING to find a piece of this! Thank you for posting it!

  • Yes I saw this once before and it is a shame it keeps getting deleted!

  • Where is the rest of this?

  • Fucking weird.

  • i saw lindsey kemp perform in the 70's doing Salome and also his pantomime of punch & judy if anyone has a copy of either it would be appreciated. thanks for posting this 5 stars

    fran

  • so scary !!

  • Oh my god, I love automata. I wonder if Kemp still has those fantastic automata. This is fascinating. Thanks so much for posting.

Was this really the original music or did you add it yourself?

  • The music (all Bowie compositions) is all original.

  • I wonder how long this will be up before YouTube deletes it. MOST OF MY RARE BOWIE folder has been raped by YouTube. I am so tired of corporate fuckers like Google. Great clip. I will download it before it's gone. THANKS!

  • Yeah, I hate how it all disappears so quickly. Enjoy!
