I just went there today & it was so sad to see the track still empty after 11 years. They really need to put something on it then Tomorrowland will be complete again. Rocket Rods was my favorite ride & I really wish they would bring them back!
@lakers6225 because it was a Boondoggle the line was too long the ride keeps on breaking down, and there been signs of fast tear and wear from rocket rod, they can't even bring back people mover because the cat walk is too narow for most people and lack of emergency escape stairs.

Lots of people goes to Walt Disney World in Orlando because its less crouded and they stiff have cool stuff in their resourt but in California they screw it all up.
I bumped into ed grear the president of disneyland and he said he doesent think anything is going up there cause of the clearence.If something is going up there he said you will see it in 5 to 10 years but who knows.

Pressler was also the one who delayed ride maintenance. Look at DCA it looks cheap because he didn't put much money into it. The 98 Tomorrowland failed because he didn't care much about the attractions only retail space. Harriss later followed in his footsteps until Ouimet had to repair on what they've damaged. Pressler was just too cheap.
There is a GREAT forum site that talks all about the Disneyland, DCA, WDW events, upcomings, opinions etc. Go and take a read. They have some GREAT threads on there about this exact sort of thing. It is called visionsfantastic and it is a [dot] com site.
Michael Eisner was so cheap he didn't even change the tracks from this attraction when this attraction came out he used the same ones from the people mover
@JosephMCobery Sorry. My cast member/imagineer friend has told me what Disney is currently planning to do with the tracks. Wrecking Ball. Sad, I was hoping they would put a TTA up there.
@Benstudio13 I get it, there going to demolish this old ramp because the ramp is too narow when it comes to evacuation, the reason TTA is still running because they have 2 wider cat walks on both side of the tracks at WDW in Oralndo and they havn't convert it into Rocket rods like the idiote did here at DLC even though the people movers are still going here, they would have to shut it down because of the regulation.
I miss this ride so much. Even though it is not there anymore, I still say it is my favorite ride at Disneyland Park. Well at least DCA is a Test Track called Radiator Springs Racers. But Tomorrowland needs more thrill than just Space Mountain. Disney imagineers only have to strengthen the track so it can handle high speeds. Also they have to bank the turns and curves so the Rods can maintain constant speed.

Its going to be called Radiator Springs Racers. Its going to open in 2012 as apart of Cars Land.
