@SwanSong2156 it all depends on where you plan to busk, everything concerning street music, art displays, ice cream stands, etc. is dealt with by municipal government, i would recommend asking a local police officer or going to city hall or wherever the municipal government is based out of... and also, try to busk in a public place like a park or town square and if not then always respect the wishes of the people who own the business that you play outside of.
Okay, -dont busk near other buskers full stop. -I play Alto Sax and Bow or something when i get a hit. -Playing Jazz Sax , I usually just improvise on a blues scale for hours on end so I never run out of material.-Also I've found busking outside supermarkets helpful, loose change is plentiful and they hear throughout the supermarket before coming out to thankyou for a change to that tacky supermarket music that your draining out.

Good Unique Entertaining Original Happy Engaging Funny Expressive etc. If you could be described with any of those adjectives, then you shouldn't have a problem. Good advice. I have lived for 15 years in the UK from the procedes of busking. When I moved to Australia I gave over 2Kg of foriegn coins to a charity. Get used to it kid. Worse than that is people who stop, listen for a while, take your photo and dont give you any money.
My advice to make big bucks, do something different, something people aren't expecting. Oh and try not to become too synical about the general public, I did. You earn more money when you enjoy what your doing.

you dont need to stop to say thanks, just say it while you're playing, its even better to integrate it into the song, swap some lyrics for thank you and make sure it fits and its good.

Dood... I busk aswell... i'm 14... And can earn £90 inside 2 hours... Your talking SHIT! Sorry.... but "don't sit near a girl busker, especially if she's attractive".. that's BULLSHIT! For a start every busker should have there own spot away from all other buskers, regardless of sex or appearance. BTW, i've had 1 cent US dollar coins in my case before... better than nothing dood...

ive never wanted to hit a brit more then rightttt now, fuckkkkk me that was like 50% useful advice and 50% stupid as fuck.. like "not beside a girl busker" ... try not beside any fucking busker... find your own spot, or get there first, and if it all leads down to it, dont go for gender, find the worst one ... "the girl gets more" yeah that sure makes sense, breasts and vagina sure do play the notes better... ... if u wanna busk, take watever u have, put ur heart into it and have a good time

I don't know if you meant to do this or not, but you sound like a jerk. The fact that anybody gave you any money at all is something you should be proud of. Don't expect that everybody has an obligation to give you cash for strumming a few major chords on a guitar. Come down off your 14 year old high horse and learn some humility and love.

Good advice. I have lived for 15 years in the UK from the procedes of busking. When I moved to Australia I gave over 2Kg of foriegn coins to a charity. Get used to it kid. Worse than that is people who stop, listen for a while, take your photo and dont give you any money.
My advice to make big bucks, do something different, something people aren't expecting. Oh and try not to become too synical about the general public, I did. You earn more money when you enjoy what your doing.
