@gtatec9 Haha. It's been over 4 years since this was popular. I miss those days when I first started getting into cool gadget modifications. Everything was much harder and required more programming. Now everything's simpler and all jailbreak/mods require a couple clicks and you're done. I remember it taking me hours upon hours of frustration and learning to get Linux on my iPod (whereas Rockbox was easy...haha). Because of all that nonsense stuff, I'm now a Computer Science major. Haha.

This stuff is legit. I have an old 1st gen Nano and I've used iBoy, iPodLinux, and Rockbox to completely alter every capability. It's awesome! Sure, the games dont look amazing, but it sure beats only having Parachute. I've got about 40 games!

Only older ipods up to the older iPod Video and 1st Generation Nano work for these hacks.

I think it might work on iPod Touch jailbroken...but I'm not up to date with this stuff.

sweet, i tried the link in description, and tried to put the counterstrike wad on i pod nano with rockbox, first off it didn't show in game menu of doom, then i renamed it to doom2 and it loaded, but when it got to menu screen it said "this wad does not follow stranded doom graphics," then quits.

I haven't done this in a LONG time...but I believe you use a Doom 2 WAD as the base WAD, THEN use Counter-Strike.WAD as an addon and it should work fine.

No. When you put Rockbox firmware on it, it doesn't replace it entirely. You can actually always reboot to the regular firmware.
