  • dang! that game looks hard but fun! How much did it cost?

  • @retrogamerSam Larry of ScrewAttackEurope told me that it was designed hard on purpose. I believe him. :) There were 2 or 3 difficulty settings harder than Normal.

It was $29 if I remember correctly. It's currently not available. It sold out right after I bought my copy. But never fear - RetroZone is working on a reissue, with some tweaks.

    STAY AWESOME! :)

  • @cessnaace if you bought one when the next ones come out, I would gladly trade something for it.

  • @retrogamerSam I dunno. RetroZone (as is the case with nearly all homebrew/repro publishers) manufactures very few copies of each release. Many fewer than 100 copies. That's why I recommend checking the websites of homebrew publishers frequently. I have links to many of them in the profile section of my channel. What did you have in mind to trade?

    STAY AWESOME! :)

  • @cessnaace I'm not sure what I could trade. Have you seen anything you would like in any of my recent videos? PS are there any other homebrew NES sites?

  • @retrogamerSam I'll have to examine your vids. :)

Yes. Thenesdump is a site that offers homebrews. You can download their games, or you can pay them $30-40 per game to have them put it on a cart. I haven't ordered from them yet, but will eventually. Anyway, there's a link to their site in the profile section of my channel.

    STAY AWESOME! :)

  • @cessnaace ok, kool. I kinda want to buy that "Pirate Booty" cart. No particular reason... :) But for 60 bucks, I don't think so.

  • @retrogamerSam Some homebrews can be expensive. Songbird Productions charges $89.95 for Total Carnage for the Jaguar.

    STAY AWESWOME! :)

  • I couldn't help but notice a couple of similarities to Mega Man, oh and the LONGEST NES intro...I've ever seen.

  • @pocketmego I noticed the long intro myself. And it runs at it's own speed, so you'd better be a fast reader. lol.

    STAY AWESOME! :)

  • @cessnaace

I was watching it and at first I was pretty impressed. Then I was like...yeah...and it really is still going on....

    LOL

  • @pocketmego I played it some more tonight, and got just alittle bit further. :)

    STAY AWESOME! :)

  • @cessnaace

And you were playing it normal. I can't believe there are like 3 harder settings on that thing. LOL

  • @pocketmego If I get good enough, I'll do a video on the harder settings.

I just uploaded another play vid, this one on the NES homebrew "Sara Parker's Pool Challenge." And I've ordered two more homebrews. :)

    STAY AWESOME! :)

  • Game is very much like the Mega Man games so am sure fans of those games would like this one.

  • @jboypacman It was well worth the purchase price. :)

    STAY AWESOME! :)

  • What program do you use to edit videos Mark? You should copy the audio, so that it comes out of both speakers!

  • @ScrewAttackEurope I'm using Windows Movie Maker for Windows XP.

    STAY AWESOME mate! :)

  • Lol i love the choice of difficulty settings, this looks a very high quality game for homebrew, but dam it looks impossible.

  • @amurphy245 This was literally my first go at the game. Hopefully as I play it more I'll get further in. I'm planning on doing "progress" vids from time-to-time on some games.

    STAY AWESOME! :)

  • play it on unfair!

  • @TheDevilBurning I will once I'm alittle better and can give the game a run for it's money. :)

    STAY AWESOME! :)

  • Nice one matey - great to see you doing the gameplay vids :)

  • @XFile2708 Thanks mate! I'll be doing alot more now. :)

    STAY AWESOME! :)

  • Hello Mega Kid

  • @TameFan I just now ordered two more NES homebrews from RetroZone. :)

    Spank you later. :)

    STAY AWESOME! :)

  • Looks good and I really like the music. Still got the demo to play but I'm really tempted to pick up a copy.

  • @Lorfarius This version is no longer available. Larry thinks that the next version will be the final version, and limited to 30-50 carts. I plan on buying a copy of the next version. Hopefully it will have a box and manual.

Sarah Parker's Pool Challenge, another homebrew from RetroZone, will be the next one I plan to do a play vid of.

    STAY AWESOME! :)

  • @Lorfarius I just ordered two more NES homebrews from RetroZone, and subscribed to their free email newsletter. So alot more homebrew goodness to come. :)

    STAY AWESOME mate! :)

  • @cessnaace Cool, more vids on the way then :)

  • @Lorfarius Yep mate. Now that I got my capture device working again, I can do play vids out the ying-yang. Knowing me that's probably what will happen. I will become fixated and do a play vid every day so so, until people beg me to sing again! LOL!

    STAY AWESOME mate! :)

  • looks like a great game! excellent video Mark :)

  • @misterintellivision Thank you very much. I would suggest keeping an eye open at the RetroZone website. This version is no longer available, and word is that the next version will be the final version, and be limited to only 30-50 carts.

    STAY AWESOME! :)

  • To begin with the music reminded me of something from Mega Man. As did the gameplay!

  • @TeamAlfie Is that a bad thing?

    STAY AWESOME! :)

  • @cessnaace Not in my book!

  • @TeamAlfie To each his/her own. Some games I dislike myself.

    STAY AWESOME! :)

  • Great NES sounds in this one.

  • @KevinCali24 Yes, for sure. I look forward to getting deeper into the game. The music is pretty catchy I think. :)

    STAY AWESOME! :)
