@SuperRonwell She caught Bulbasaur in episode "Grass Hystreria". After she left Ash and co. to travel through Johto, it evolved twice off-screen, just like Squirtle, although it evolved only once.

I think May makes a better main character then ash. She changes often showing her depth and her pokemon actually EVOLVE!
