@TheDudeFrom0Z You probably never tried Elixir then, if so, your common sense is totally disturbed cause Elixir is obviously WAY better than D'Addario.
I use the Polyweb on my acoustic Alvarez and these things are amazing. They feel kind of odd at first going from just normal strings but they sound and feel so nice that the transition is a smooth one
yeah i can vouche for these strings too, i have nano webs on all of my guitars (vintage 1952 les paul, a run of the mill telecaster, and a no name acoustic)and they feel fuckin great even makes my generic acoustic sound like a classical or even a hard monster magnet sound...glad i got em..just using my acoustic as a ref because the other 2 dont need help sounding good..the strings just make it better
Guys... i can play ANY unprotected guitar strings and like 4 hours later (even if i wash my hands and fast fret the strings) they will be copper coloured and feel sooo bad But these last me a LOOOONG time
I got some Nanoweb 11 gauge. They feel AMAZING, aside from the fact that they just don't feel a thick as Ernie ball 11's (which is what i'm used to), however, I compared them, and there's supposedly (going by the numbers on the packages) very little difference. Maybe its all in my head.
But these strings definately have a amazing feel, and they haven't rusted so far.
I bought some nano web strings , i got the same gauge as i always do and the three thickest strings (D , A and G) sound pretty awful when plucked on their own , although sound pretty good on chords.
I bought put some Elixir Light Nanowebs on my Seagull S6 acoustic about 1 month ago and they still sound as good as new, if not, better! It also helps to wash hands before playing the guitar and and wiping the strings down after sessions.
For some reason they are dropping the polyweb according to the suppliers up here in Canada.
Is this true or not?
Nanos do NOT last anywhere near as long as Polys.-and the Gortex flakes off.
Therefore, Elixir does NOT have the option/right any longer of asking $20+ per pack.
One time I got a year and a half out of my polys on my jumbo. Now I'm good for three months, and I've purchased many sets, having half a dozen acoustics.
where the heck can i get 10 packs? AND HEY! i want Phosphor bronze with the anti-rust lated E and B strings... they only sell 80/20 bronze with the anti rust for acoustics it would seam...
Hell yeah go Elixir... but they don't actually last 3-5 times longer than ordinary strings... they last about 10 times longer than ordinary strings!!! They're amazing
I'm a cheap baSTARD and I love Elixirs cause they sound so good & last and last and...
