Phantom Reviews, you are so right. This version of the Phantom Of The Opera is a dud. Julian Sands should have gone through a makeup job to make his face disfigured. The director makes his own daughter an all out sex object than playing Christine. A lot of unnecessary scenes that could have been deleted. Dario Argento. You made one hell of a mess of a great, classic, horror story. This version deserves to be buried in the tunnels underneath the Paris Opera House and lost forever!

I love rats. I really do. My pet rat Erik (yes, he was named after the phantom) is in his cage a few feet away from me. That is why I can't stand this movie. Because of all the crap they put the rats through. Dario Argento should be skinned by PETA and then have the skin sewn onto a GOOD phantom, such as Robert Englund.

Ok, that's my rant. May I end with saying that I love the wig song, and I sing it at odd times (such as two in the morning) to frighten my mother.

It's kinda unfair to say Argento and Schumacher are bad directors because they made two really REALLY bad films. They should be blamed for those, but even good directors make at least one mistake usually (even Jackson's style was missing in The Lovely Bones). I recommend seeing Argento's other films if you haven't seen any more. Those are worth a look. You should check out the Dracula movies too if you still haven't from you're Twilight review. Still you gave the best review ever for this crap.

Yes, there was a discussion going where a few people were insisting that the hair was real because Sands had long hair in the 80s or something. This movie was a good decade later, though, and really...that's a wig.
