I found one on Ebay. Cost me 7.99 total. It was from China.. they said it was unlabeled and came from a major manufacture that shipped them out to different stores.. so it could even be a Mac brush. Always look on Ebay for brushes. They are great.

Vegan means it's natural..from the earth...no cruelty of any kind was used to make this product--similar to vegatarian...also not animal tested.....Silk is made by butterflies/silk worms./spiders..There are different kinds of silk...and its a .naturally..made product..like bees make honey...:)

Also just so ppl know..what DUAL FIBER means is the brush is made up of 2 fibers..They make brushes like this for dual [TWO] reasons..They can be used both WET and DRY..:D

Ok, I'm confused. You said that the black fibers were silk...Yet the brushes are labelled as 100% synthetic.Well, silk is not synthetic or vegan. It involves boiling insects...It doesn't say anything about silk on the web, so I'm confused.

You can make synthetic silk.....if it says it's a 100 percent synthetic..than that means its as close to silk as it can become...:) Made in a lab..~

And the silk u speak of is from silk worms...many many different insects make silk in it's natural form..and it can simply be cultivated --without injuring the insect..it makes for a more difficult task..but that what silk farms and bee farms are for..ect..:)--That's not to say some don't do the practice..but these brushes are synthetic..~:)

Yes, the brushes are synthetic. On the other hand, vegans try to avoid using any animal products, I don't think it is possible to "raise" bees and insects to collect honey and silk without harming a good amount of them,and this is completely needless since we don't need honey or silk.We can't avoid killing insects and small animals in plant-crops,but we sure can avoid silk and honey.Bees make honey for their own kind,not for us to steal their hard work and make a profit :-)

I just got my brushes in! I ordered the two eye brushes. I have to say they are going to take a little bit to get used to but I can tell I will love them. There was no real scent except the smell of the plastic sleeve they are in. The silver tissue paper was a cute touch. I will be doing a review on these in about a week. :D

there's a wonderful brown color in the original coastalscents 88 palette that i absolutely ADORE... and i'm wondering if you could suggest a dupe that i can buy in a larger pan. it's the brown in the column second from the right, 5th one down.

As an artist I have been dealing with brushes for around 30 years and no, the animals are not killed. Think about it, that would be a waste. Why kill an animal for just one batch of hair when you can take care of it and have years of beautiful hair. Actually removing the hair, which is usually done late spring, helps the animal stay cool in the summer.

Will the blush brush still work if you use it for a pressed powder blush instead of a mineral or loose powder one?

I just used mine in pressed powder and it seems to work fine. They take a little getting used to because they aren't like regular brushes but they do work just fine in pressed.

EnKore does have a video for how to make a home made brush cleanser that works like a dream. You really want to use something with a little conditioner in it. If nothing else use your shampoo, baby shampoo if you have it.

I have seen a type of brush that looks like a fan, I believe they call it a fan brush, I was just wondering what those brushes are used for?

Those are generally used to apply blush or a highlighter. Some people prefer these to blush brushes because they give a light, more natural application. If Be-You-tified episodes, Eve Pearl demonstrates how to use them.

hey meralyildiz - you need to find the culprit that causes your eye to water. Most cases, people are allergic the the RED dyes in their makeup which causes watery eyes. If thats your case, then you want to avoid makeup colored with dyes and look into natural colorants like mineral makeup.
