I think you do a great job portraying the stereotypes and I can relate as an Asian person. I think we Asians often try to be White ourselves that sometimes I notice an embarrassment to be around other Asians when hanging out with our White friends. It only gets much harder when you walk by an Asian group while your walking with your White group. No one is saying it but somebody is wondering, hey, how come you don't hang out w/ the Asian people?
I am so very happy to see that some of my African American friends have a sense of humor, I was just dropped from someone's facebook list for posting this and accused of being a redneck. That scene was relevant. The term "in the closet" is used for those who are not open about their sexuality. Remington considered himself to be "in the closet" about his race, not by sexuality. When Remington sees the posting that reads "Black? In the closet?" he automatically thinks it is about race. So when he gets to the meeting and they're like "Hi Mike and I'm a homosexual" he is confused as to what that has to do with being in the closet about race.

I think one thing that this video shows, besides being humorous, is that for us Black people, no matter how we act, we are still, and will always be BLACK!!! to the world, in politics, in schools, in social settings. The part about asking where the nearest jamba juice was, was quite the exaggeration, but it shows how many people see black people. This video is not "racists" its a bit ignorant, but what comedy isnt.

That scene was relevant. The term "in the closet" is used for those who are not open about their sexuality. Remington considered himself to be "in the closet" about his race, not by sexuality. When Remington sees the posting that reads "Black? In the closet?" he automatically thinks it is about race. So when he gets to the meeting and they're like "Hi Mike and I'm a homosexual" he is confused as to what that has to do with being in the closet about race.

Those of us who are African American should be proud of it and not try to hide our culture and who we are as people. Those who don't know blacks on a personal level will be the ones to continue the tradition of sterotypes and ignorance, we just have to keep raising above it.

Based on society! In India, light skinned Indians are seen as more beautiful and acceptable than darker skinned Indians! The same in Japan, Israel, Italy, etc.
Up until recently, the portrayal of blacks in American media was all negative! Even all black TV shows, up until the Cosby show were negative in a way. The Jeffersons, Good Times, Sanford and Son... great shows, but all showed blacks in a negative light! Even cartoons from the 50's and 60's were racist. They're all over youtube

Actually, the Justice of the Peace is correct according to US political philosophy. It was not the vision of the Founders for all American citizens to be governed by a relatively small number of Federal judges, and an out of control Executive branch. Nothing anybody says can change that.
