It is a known fact that Singapore has a bad reputation when it comes to treating their maids, perhaps next to Saudi Arabia. Also, Among Asian countries, Singaporeans pay the lowest wages to their maids (in US dollars) in comparison to Hong Kong who pays 3 times as much.

They were not only informative, but extremely emotional, as they depicted the hardships these women face all over the island of Singapore-- a lot of them are right next door and we don't even know it.
