I don't know what moron designed the main water jump, but it's such a foolish, dangerous design! The poor horses had no idea how far that drop was! Totally unfair...
@ILOVEHORSESTHEMOST13 Lol, of course, I'm sure all of these riders have fallen off before.. we all have, many times (especially us eventers!) but I'm talking about the jump being unfair and just plain dirty. I commented on a rider in a different video, but that was more in light humor since there had been so many spectacular falls and that one just sort of... wasn't on anymore.. out of nowhere LOL
that water jump is dirty and unfair to the horses, a freaking BOUNCE to a super long drop on landing, not fair, and the horse has NO IDEA that there is a drop, it cant see past the second jump.. poor horses
If the horse is caught, then it's caught - it means someone has a hold of the horse to check it over while you can check yourself too. You don't need to neglect yourself either because of a horse. Horse was fine and someone had it, on cross country you need to get off the course so the show can also go on as well. that's how it runs in the higher circles

for crying out loud, some of the riders from all the totalrecallvids are SO SELFISH. when you fall off, go and get your freakin horse! just because your a crap rider and fell off or the horse fell OVER, don't winge, get your horse and get out of there... makes me so cranky! when you own a horse, your top priority is your HORSE. NOT yourself and your petty emotions at being eliminated.
I didn't really see anyone do what you said. First and last riders did walk to the crowd but there was already a bunch of people grabbing the horse mostly likely the riders' friends or grooms why add an additional person in there if the horse is already caught? Otherwise in those vids it's pretty hard to catch a horse when it's already trotting/cantering away and chasing will make things worse. I think you're being just a little overdramatic.
@KingOfTheJungle040:57, she's walking in the opposite direction, 3:41, walking away from the horse instead of (yes I realise someone caught the horse) of going over, taking the horse and seeing if he was ok... yes I realise however just because you've fallen and your pride is hurt, doesn't mean you should expect your friends, grooms, or officials to get YOUR horse. I never have and I wasn't just referring to this video but other totalrecallvids I've watched.
@macsqDressage8 Yeah but while you're horse is important and I agree it should be the rider catching the horse. The riders couldn't be walking away because of pride. Have you ever thought perhaps they were either in shock. They probably got the wind knocked out of them and their first instinct would be to get to safe land to regain their composure.
