People just don't like governments, so the idea of a game where you can revolt against a government is like gold. All this game is, is a sequal to RF1. And RF1 had no resemblance to the Russians. They just threw the EDF in so that there was a reason for the sequal. How can you make a sequal to a game about corrupt governments, when you toppled it in the first game? The EDF is just a replacement for Ultor.

If the game is arcade the link between real-life and the videogame world is lost, and the game looses the fun in playing out those events.

And yeah, one is all that's needed, but nobody's made it yet, because computers ain't powerful enough, and it would take a fuckload of time to make a perfect simulation.

@greg77389 I do appreciate a certain level of realism in games, though. Battlefield 2 had a mod called Project Reality that essentially made it into a simulation of an actual battle, and that was pretty fun. I enjoyed Arma II as well. Of course, I'll play something as crazy as Dead Rising or Red Faction Guerrilla any day of the week.
