Now, why LA and sf? because these are the two biggest, oldest cities with the biggest fan bases. Regardless of team performance, none of the other Cali teams have anywhere near the fan base that the Dodgers and giants do, especially the Dodgers. It's such a joke that the owner of the angels even went and added "Los Angeles" to their name (although they are not from LA) hoping that it would bring more name recognition and possibly increase their fan base....yeah, right.

well if you knew your history correctly you would know that the Angels were the los angeles angels before the dodgers even moved out here. But i agree they should not be the la angels. they should be the california angels. and i would look again at the fan base. the lakers have a massive fan base that is just as large if not larger than the dodgers.

well thats what happens when a team is at the bottom, you dont care about them and I understand we need to worry about our other division rivals instead of the Giants so much for right now while the Giants are in rebuilding mode and I hate to admit that our rivalry just isnt the same anymore since Bonds is gone now and the Giants have sucked since 2005 but give it a few years, it will heat back up again once the Giants get good again and I will always hate the Giants more than any other team.
