  • oh man awesome OPETH I love them. I was surprised when I saw that.

  • i wish you could wire mine.. im so lazy.. and theres so much wires lol

  • If your using all cables from power supply is it still easy to wire manage ? Cheers

  • wow very artistic pc,i know it came with hardwork and passion to do dat

  • That's good cable management for a case that has TERRIBLE cable management.

  • Where is a good place to sell PSU's?

  • why does it matter? it's the inside! you can't see it.

  • get a better case.. and cable management is a breeze

  • nice and tidy.

  • do u no how to mod a calculater

  • If i were you i would invest in wire cutters shrink wrap tubbing and a soldering set, it goes SOOOO far in mods it's insane all the cables in my case are just an inch longer then needed.

  • i like my cabeles MEASSSSSY

  • so why do cable management, what will happen if you dont?

  • Gorgeous paint job! Bill Owens and MNPCTECH RulZ!

  • The zip tie guides are pretty sweet, never thought of that one before. I will grab a hold of some for my up and coming build I am mapping out. Nice video!

  • hmmm i would say it takes about 3 times to get the cable management perfect

  • Great video, thank you for sharing.

One small suggestion i have, however, has to do with cutting the plastic cable ties, it actually looked dangerous when you used the big ol' scissors, someone with less steady hands may end up cutting some other stray wire or cable. My suggestion, which sounds odd until you try it, is to use nail clippers; it's more similar to using a pair of pliers, and you need less force to cut them, thus, more control. Hope that helps, Again, loved the video.

  • I am going to pick up the kit. They have a ton of awesome products that I want to buy but the shipping is a bit too much, I live in Utah not outside the US. They have some sick fan grills too.

  • Whaaa, 20 minutes to build that? Man it took me 5 hours to figure everything out the first time..

  • Very nice cable management but how much does it affect to airflow?

  • That's a great job on the cable management. I'm still in the process of figuring out how to manage cables in my computer myself. But, having a modular power supply helps a great deal.

  • im runnin a bit of a messy rig at the moment too, this vid was pretty helpfull actually. tomorrow il pull apart my case and have a squiz cheers guys

  • I'm wondering if you guys studied electronics to do this or can you figure it out without it?

  • i thought it was gonna be messy when he opened it.. my cables are waaay worse..lol

  • nice

  • Not a bad job. You tightened those wires up pretty good and I like the recessed area above the motherboard tray. Clever idea tucking all the excess PSU wires in there. I'm constantly trying to find new places to hide wires in my case, but I typically just let the extra PSU connections sit in the 5.25 bays like he did. Thank god I have a modular power supply, so theres not much of them. :) I'll try and upload a video sometime of my cable management.

  • pretty sweet looking case

  • That Opeth computer is hawt.

  • My question is: don't you have to be careful not to put too much tension on some of the cables? Like if it's plugged into a component and you have to unplug it temporarily, can't it be too hard to plug back in? Your viewers might really screw themselves around by going too extreme...

  • Your voice is scarry

  • I reccently bought a new cpu box a NOX side window acrylic... and it's looking awful from my perspective. This vid made me do some cable manegement. And I think from some major details provided in this video, i kinda know what i'm going to do. Thanks MNPCTECH again, I hope you reply to my msg...

  • pretty amazing work!

  • Hello I just followed your tutorial. I just want to thank you for inspiring me to do this cable management . Now my computer has great air flow because of the clean space that allows more flow. I see a nice difference in the temperature rates in Speed Fan software that I use to monitor the temperature. very cool temperature and very stable now. I also love the very tidy case. Once again thanks!

  • good job , thanks for sharing :D

  • iv got Antec plus 1080AMG With Window

  • great job and nice video, I did a cable management mod on an Antec 200, you can check it out by clicking my name on my channel. Nice paint job as well

  • nice! I'll be doing my first ever build soon. When I started researching I didn't know anything, but videos like yours have been helping me along.

  • Great Video to the point and simple easy fix Thanks!

  • Love the videos. One question: Is it easy to remove those zip-tie bases, if so, how?

  • Thank you for this as I have a really messy rig

  • cool, but wondering if any1 can give me some idea how to do this with a jeantech unicorn case where the sides fold down like wings, with a scythe ninja 2 rev b heatsink :? i cant even get the mobo side down without first removing the psu and thats a job in itself getting it out lol , definitly will need 2 pairs of hands i reckon

  • I've witnessed lots of people do this, Thanks for watching and commenting sabbathcrazy!

  • love the intro, rock music over the caption "cable management". a mundane task never sounded so cool.

  • Thanks for watching and commenting Shawkins49 :)

  • Please tell me why you guys use that AC cpu cooler? it sucks seriously? its so loud, ..

  • No, agreed :)

  • mine is,

  • Opeth!! FUK YEAH!!

oh yeah.. good CM vid.. :D

  • Thanks for watching and commenting 35057 :)

  • ok i have 1 question...

can u take like black electrical tape ant put it around the last like 2 cm of the 24 pin connection?

  • I dont see why not gymfreak

  • love ur vids and site brother 1? witch case was the easiest to work with as far as cable management and airflow

  • The Corsair Obsidian, Thanks for watching and commenting asus!

  • I'm so envious of your garage with all of those tools.

  • Thanks for watching and commenting

    PaperthinHymn!

  • Cool idea! Never thought of that. I will definitely be doing that on my next rebuild.

  • Awesome, Thanks for watching and commenting

    NewnanTheatre :)

  • cool thx for the vid switching psu's for my power troubles and switch out my little bros gpu with my old 8800gt later this morning. I love troubleshooting PC's :)

  • Yes, it's fun :) Thanks for watching!

  • Could u guys do a video where u show that awesome case more and tell how did u do it and etc. extra? =)

  • We painted it by hand. $1500

  • OMG! THATS OPETH LOGO!!! Opeth is just the best band ever! And that case is just awesome man! It just fucking rocks! How did u get that logo on there? painting? Oh God its just soooooo cool!

  • BEAUTIFUL opeth drawing

  • Thanks for watching and commenting felima999!

  • can you do that by me

  • who buys second hand power supplies anyway.

  • agree, crazy move. Thanks for watching and commenting bogan001

  • Very useful info. I had a Lian Li case with a PSU that had 104968140968 wires - and had the exact same problem as you guys. I didn't know about tucking the wires into the right hand side of the case - that was very handy.

  • Glad you found it helpful! Thanks for watching and commenting Keirnoth

  • that is one butifull case.! Is painting the Corsair Obsidian 800D glossy black worth it???

  • I don't think it is, Thank you for watching and commenting zkjgrty :)

  • thats is so cool i am building my first pc and i want it to be the best pc ever so i will be doing this for sure

  • no 1 can have the best pc ever

even if you do it wont be for long

u have at least something better coming out in a month and so on

it can be a awesome pc

    but not the best

  • Yes, tech changes soo fast! Thanks for watching and commenting whlzdenis :)

  • @MonsterMawd is it necessary to use an antistatic wrist band?

  • @whlzdenis my computer science professor once said that if cars evolved as fast as computers that by now u would be able to buy a rolls royce for $0.01 that could travel near mach 5 and get u the distance of the moon and back on a single gallon of gas... sad for the auto industry that they havent been able to develope new tech that fast

  • @whlzdenis way to kill the guys spirit, let em dream man

  • Have fun! :) and Thanks for watching and commenting aaron

  • @MonsterMawd you shuld have desired aaron good luck :P

  • @aaronlikesalex lol you sound so lame

  • do you need more molex connectors to get pass the back tray panel of your case from your psu to your pc components?

  • It's so easy to cable manage. Get a case with the psu mount at the bottom and get a modular psu. The rest is so easy. Takes like 10 mins.

  • @zackcyboy yeah most psus now are modular. but i rather pay say $50 - $100 less on a psu with same power output just not modular... and hide the cables... its really easyy... =D but yeah most of them are modular now so not much worrie

  • Excellent video. Thanks for the tutorial. I need to buy one of those cable tie kits. I've got a Thermaltake Soprano case with pre-installed 450W power supply that has about 30 power cables inside with all sorts of weird plugs. Even with 4 hard drives, 2 DVD drives etc, I still have loads of spare cables getting in the way and occasionally springing into a fan to clacker away, meaning I have to open the case and sort them out again.

  • Thank you for your support and comment!

    * mnpctechDOTcom

  • Thanks again for the video. :-)

I wasn't able to get those stick-on cable tie mounts, but I was still able to cable tie the spare power cables around the side of the case. All the fans in my case have in and out power plugs for flow-through power, so working out the best combination of those took about an hour. Afterwards I thought a hard drive wasn't working. It took me a while to realise I'd forgotten to plug a power cable back into it. Oops. lol

No more cables falling into fans!

  • Thank you for watching and commenting!

  • macs are shite if your a gamer though and they are now pc's on the inside with the old intel core 2 chips

  • Great job

  • a mac pro as no cables on the inside

  • Because they're wired through the inside of the case. Thus making it nearly impossible to add anything or upgrade anything. Therefore, the Mac is a failure, as we can easily make a cheap computer that is better, and add a few hundred dollars worth of peripherals on later.

  • ya but macs dont look like this

  • macs are like a laptop..... exept dont have to worrie about battrey life and well power really

  • if you want to get proprietary hardware that is non-upgradeable, and pay twice as much for it, go nuts. but while you do that, we'll stick with cables.

  • Thanks for the vid man, I just did my pc's cable's thanks to this video. Thanks for the tips :P

  • did any one else notice that the harddrive was not connected in the end

  • you got the same cpu fan as me. but why are you pointing it the other way instead of outside the case o.0

  • How can I do any cable management with a Raidmax Aztec?

  • I have the same question, there really is not any room to move any cables.

  • i think you can tuck away cables above the motherboard and behind the 5.25" drive bays. (if i'm not mistaking)

  • i did that in my pc :P

  • Each case is different.

  • Very nicely done, Thanks for posting this video. I learned alot about cable management.

  • 20 mins??? dang

  • 20 mins isn't much if you're a comp head.

  • it dont take long to put a system together =) 20-30min :)

  • yeah it does

  • takes me 10-15 min :p

  • Why didn't you just buy a modular power supply?

  • Wow, what person brings their custom made PC in to get the cables organized?

  • bleeding rich.

  • idk how to fix this but my pc freezes 3 times a day at most and i open case and i feel my hard drive and its hot as hell, is this the problem if so how do i fix?

  • WD? i guess western dig cause it always gets hot anyway get something new ive had a HDD like yours you should just throw yours out like i did to mine get a seagate they run really cool. if you dont you could get a case with frontal cooling which will help. if your doing a lot of wrk or sumthin which is over working ur HDD get 2 then use raid 0 share the work load

  • go to a harddrive recovery place and get them to burn all the files to another harddrive then install it into ur pc

  • cool it with a big hdd fan and if that doesn't help, backup your files on to another drive and buy a new hdd.

  • Why don't you just buy a power supply with removable cables???

  • thisvideo is for people who don't have the cash to upgrade but still have a killer psu or didn't know about modular psu's and have cable management issues

  • (modular)

  • modular power supplies can be more expensive, and might not have all the connections ya need or enough output

they are nice :) but not perfect

  • nice video Bill, good suggestion on using those adhesives, saw somebody else using those on youtube. So I took it in consideration on my computer case. big help for real.

  • cool :)

  • this is where modular power supplies are pretty handy

  • Love Opeth!

  • Nice one guys. Gotta love those Lian Li's, so expensive though! I'm working on my HAF =D

  • well done, a complete hour and a half wasted...

    lol

    nice paint job though

  • sorry to hear yours took so long. keep practicing

  • no you dont understand. i think the whole cable management is a waste of time :P

i dont care how it looks as long as it runs well :)

  • Then why are you wasting your own time watching and commenting on this video?

  • i thought it was guna get good xD

soz i didnt like this vid but your others are cool :)

  • Ok, Timotay :)

  • xD ▲

  • yeah ive cut off a few of mine, i think i might just cut of ALL of my un-used wires now, i dont really plan on re-sale and my motherboard only has one pci-e for a graphics card anyways so im not going to Crossfire =/

  • Well you can use the adapter that comes with some video cards that changes peripherals to pci-e conectors.

  • Really great video guys, enjoyed watching.

  • whats the first song that plays?

    BTW. awesome paint job

  • That case layout is amazing.

Why did i buy my antec 900?

    I feel like a sheep.

  • Well Done guys!!

    top notch job!!

  • the song is from garage band XD

  • lol its cleaner than mine gosh.

  • i have that same motherboard :)

  • OMG, it's pretty!

  • Holy shit an Opeth case mod! Now I love mnpctech even more.

  • Even when there modular. you still gotta do cable management. I have a modular power supply and i still had to do some cable management.

  • AGREE COMPLETELY when you talk about "cutting off cables not needed". It took me a few hours...maybe I'm exaggerating but it took me a while to do mine. Now mine looks so much sexier even when my case has tiny holes that you could just fit molex power through not even(right angle) SATA power would fit. Now all unused are in the back and all fan power is connected in the back out of the way with 2 molex coming through holes for CD/DVD and HD drives.

  • Damn, man. I just wish more PSU's were made modular. I can never seem to find the right PSU that's modular. All the ones I want aren't!

  • The Thermaltake Toughpower 850W is extremely good and modular

  • Wtf does 'modular' do?

  • A "Modular" Power Supply (PSU) has the cables plugged into the PSU instead of integrated in the PSU therefore you can unhook any cables you aren't using.

  • I know what exactly DOES it do or mean?

  • modular means the cables arent fixed but have to be plugged into the PSU, so unused cables can be plugged out and don't take place in the case!

  • Modular PSU's mean that you can disconnect and connect the PSU cables up

  • modular means that the power supply lets you plug in only the cables that you need instead of having all the cables already built in. this way you can cut the amount of cabling down. it helps a lot ;)

  • modular makes it so you can un plug un-used wires from the PSU and put them back on.

  • you can remove the leads you don't use--> less cable mess

  • it means u can unplug or plug in power cables like ur motherboards sata connections its buch better but another way u can do it is if u get some auto power plugs u can plug ou unplug them thats what i did

  • it means you can take the cables out of the psu,

  • Just bought the zalman zm-1000 1000w..Best computer component i have ever bought, you wont find anything cooler.

    Did i mention is modular!

  • Drill baby Drill.

  • Hell yeah i have this same case... without the paint of course

im gonna do this soon my cables are fugly and i run with no side panel

  • That mobo sucks for cable management

  • IN my Antec 900 I had to drill 5 holes to route the wires. Looks way better. Modular power supply helps a ton.

  • This job was still horrible looking.

  • doesn't matter as much because it doesn't have a window

  • lol no, cable management is important for airflow.

  • actually it does, less cables running around is more air running around

  • it does matter, gives your pc better airflow ;)

  • Exactly! Thanks again for watching and commenting! we have lots of cool cases and mods, visit our site

  • MODULAR PSU

  • I have a side panel window but it doesent get the backi of my case because of some metal reinforcing only downside is that it blocks most the kewl hardware.check my video out about it

  • just get a modular PSU =)

  • Im 14, Ill built in 20 mins with cabke management

  • Probably sucked then.

  • lol no

  • anyone can do "cable management" with zipties good cable management will come with e modular PSU. I have a cosmos s case i really wished I bought a modular -_-

  • and build it

why would i JUST do cable mangement

    just think

  • You need cable management for air flow and better peformance not just for looks lol

  • So freaking jealous. The cable management in my computer is... well... lack thereof.
