  • when i first saw this, i was like "wtf? Deliliah over North Shore?"

  • Comment removed

  • everyone was crying when Northshore left..i think they really felt like their REAL-life Grandpa just died..awwww..but lol... :)

  • I stopped watching this show after they left.

All the other groups just sound like a bunch of glee bullshit.

It depresses me to see how people can be so stupid as to vote off true music like North Shore.

  • @Kyler2013 The judges decided to keep Delilah, not America

  • Was that booing I heard?! Really guys...I'm sorry North Shore went home, I'm on the fence about it as well. But booing?! That's just downright obnoxious. You don't ruin someone else's happy moment just because someone you wanted to stay went home. I'm sure North Shore would not want that, they have had plenty of fun together through their many many years, Delilah is young, they will get their time.

On another note, I loved North Shore's Swan Song so much. Love the original as well.

  • North Shore should not have gone home. Compare Heat Wave to Unchained Melody. And yes, Delilah's good, but North Shore is a million times better. Really rooting for Pentatonix, Dartmouth Aires, YellowJackets, and Urban Method. I just wish North Shore hadn't gone home, they rounded out my top five.

  • I will say that i'm biased re Delilah... that first bruno mars song still blows me away. that was so incredible. And i sang in all female groups before, so that might explain it as well.

I also hated the bracket set up... Kinfolk 9 got screwed b/c of it and we had to suffer through how many weeks of the Deltones?!?? Amateur hour all the way with the latter. K9 was much more memorable than most.

  • Urban Method may very well be a contender and is likely Delilah's competition... but I'm not sure how anyone is going to top Afro-Blue in terms of musicality, precision and inventive arrangements. And, Pentatonix is pretty much untouchable with that rhythm and base section plus the outstanding Scott (?) as lead (oh and the other lovely tenor is also completely awesome too).

  • Without reading any of the other comments... I really believe it will be Afro-Blue all the way. Pentatonix will likely be second.

The collegiate groups are great to watch and I love their theatricality. And my other fave (above the collegiate groups) is Delilah. They've delivered such powerful, emotional and enjoyable arrangements... i could listen to them over and over again.

  • I can't wait until Delilah goes home.

  • Cannot wait till next week. It gonna b best episode yet. Urban method better not screw this challenge up

  • @jjrockplay that would be ironic though XD

  • Afro Blue in the bottom two was just ridiculous. They took in the judges' notes from lsat time, rhad lots of fun, and were still one of the best performances of the night. Oh well, someone had to be at the bottom with the Deltones....who's swan song sounded lovely, by the way. They just never managed to stand out.

  • GUYS,

    STOP TALKING.

    IT'S MOI FROM KINFOLK 9 AT 3:35.

    OMG <3

  • stupid judges tell me some reasons why North Shore got off? they old? wow thats nice judges and delilah has failed the 60s challenge and now this weeks performance was even worse of what the judges said and it had no groove or fun at all good job judges...

  • @aOKlady I read an interview with Deke Sharon (Executive Producer) on SINNNG. He openly admitted that the groups are broken into brackets and subgroups for eliminations early in the season solely because the stage isn't large enough to hold all the groups at once.

It's a compromise, I think but it generally works out.

  • @wbradley1372 ...Do you recall where you found that interview with Deke Sharon? I'd like to read it, too.

  • @aOKlady I tried to put the URL here, but YouTube keeps choking on it.

I sent it via pm instead.

  • @wbradley1372 ...Thanks for sending the links. I found Deke Sharon's comment on the RARB/CASA Forums: "The five groups then elimination then other five then other elimination was for one simple reason: we couldn't fit 10 groups lined up in a row on stage. That simple. You can read into it, but that's really it. Next show we have to do 4 and 4 for the same reason, but then once we're down to 6, a number that can be lined up across the stage, we have just one batch." - Dec 07, 2010

  • @aOKlady Thankfully, I think Season 3 will be "one elimination per episode" from this point on.

There are 8 groups remaining. Assuming there will be 3 finalists, there are 5 groups to cut before the finale.

I believe this season is 11 weeks long. We've seen 5, so there's 6 left. One's the finale, so there are 5 episodes before the finale.

Assuming my math is correct, we have 5 episodes and 5 groups to cut.

There's only two mega-groups left, so maybe they can fit all 8 on the stage...

  • Honestly I hate having the groups split for eliminations. I think they should all compete and eliminations be chosen from the entire group of contestants. Delilah has not lived up to expectations for their last 3 performances while North Shore had only one off performance. The audience boo'd because they know that Delilah is being saved because they are the all-star girl group. For the 2nd elimination, I am in total agreement that the Deltones needed to go.
