Very true, the military was raging for him to airstrike the fuck out of Cuba, but he refused to do so, even though it would have been political suicide if his negotiations fell through--he was more worried about WWIII. Another president would have been bullied or duped into "asserting their dominance" like a primitive animal, but not him. I wouldn't put Kennedy as high as Lincoln on my list of greatest presidents, but he's definitely in the top 5 :)
