  • what memory is compatible with this board, lads,as the gigabyte site that lists that show sticks it recommends is a year old now.any replies would be appreciated.

  • @stuart38 i know for a fact that the Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8 8GB 1600Mhz RAM is compatible

  • is there enough room on it for a thermaltake frio advanced?

  • What we do in life... echos in eternity! :)

  • difference with z68xp ud5 b3?

  • @CamiloJimenz the Z68XP-UD5 has HDMI on the I/O Panel and has support for Lucid Virtu (aka using the built in intel graphics chip as well as the video card)

  • @JamesDwho is better with b3?

  • @CamiloJimenz the Z68XP-UD5 was created after intel fixed the SATA port problem on the Z68 chipset, both boards use B3 Stepping chips

  • @JamesDwho thanks so much :D i subscribe your channel

  • @CamiloJimenz no problem, and thanks

  • I have the p67 version of this beast and it over-clocks so easliy

  • @MERCENARYVII

does the p67 ud5 come with a front panel usb 3.0 box?

  • Z68 motherboard without any video output ... another fail for Gigabyte

  • @AgraelDemonLord You're an idiot, the LGA 1155 CPU line from intel all have GPU's built into the CPU.

  • @FedoraFTW I know you cretin, but mobo don`t have any video output at I/O ports. You can not use integrated graphic in CPU. Read carefully next time.

  • @AgraelDemonLord haha alright sorry. i don't think it's stupid but if your buying this board your def going to have a dedicated video card.

  • Nice video. Im saving to get this for my PC

GTX 560Ti (Im going to SLI when needed, tell me if I need to upgrade anything?)

    8Gig Ram

    1Tb

Corsair TX-950 80 PLUS Certified 950W Power Supply

    Intel Core i7 - 2600 3.4GHz/3.8GHz Turbo Quad-Core with Hyperthreading

And Im stuck on the Motherboard there is a $120 Difference bettween these two Im asking to see what one is better for SLI. These are the two

    Gigabyte Z68X-UD3R-B3 - Less Expenisve

    Gigabyte Z68X-UD5-B3 - More Expensive

  • @PathologyGaming I would change the PSU to a corsair HX Series (Modular, Less cable mess) and even with 2 GTX 560ti's u wouldnt need more than 750W PSU, Also consider the Core i5 2500K, i know its a step down in the way of "branding" but the 2500K can be easily overclocked to 4.5Ghz where as the i7 2600 is stuck at 3.8Ghz because it doesnt have an unlocked multiplier hence no K.

  • @JamesDwho Ah kay man, so what is the difference with the I5 and I7? and How would I OC it safely. Oh BTW Thankx and I subbed ;)

  • @PathologyGaming well i have an unboxing video of the i5 2500K i cover the main differences there and as for the HDD and Ram could u send me the product page urls

  • @JamesDwho Oh well im not building my own computer...I kinda suck at all of that :P im just choosing out specs for this guy who builds them I have a few options for the motherboard and I wanted to see the better one, because I got scammed into buy a horrid one a few years bad, so I came here to check it out and you have been very very helpful. All I can send is my Ram Speed and HDD

My HDD Speed Is: 7,200RPM 64MB Cache

My RAM Speed Is: Low-Latency DDR3-1600MHz RAM

  • @PathologyGaming well u could build ur own, there are plenty of videos and tutorials on youtube about how to build a complete system and its likely that the ram has 8-8-8-24 latencies or lower, as for the HDD its probably from the Western Digital Caviar Black series so all good there

  • @JamesDwho Okay kool, Ill try and make my own computer ill think about it man, ill try :P

  • @JamesDwho This is my Ram Speed DDR3-1600MHz RAM

And my HDD speed 7,200RPM 64MB Cache

  • @PathologyGaming (had to split comment) As for the motherboards both would perform about the same in SLI the main difference is with the extra connectivity with the UD5 vs the UD3R. Also what model of HDD have u chosen and what memory including timings, for example 8-8-8-24 is the max u would want, anything around 9-9-9-24 or more wont perform well.

  • @JamesDwho Oh yea may I also ask would this motherboard support turboboost? I cant grab the I5 2000K as much as Id love to I just cant, kinda sucks really but im fine with 3.8GHz....Thanks

  • @PathologyGaming get a 850 gold corsair PSU that will handle the SLI well and doesn't cost as much.

  • No hdmi port to take advantage of your cpu graphics which is also part of the Z68 chip set.. GA-Z68XP-UD4 does have an hdmi port and the diff between this and GA-Z68XP-UD4 isnt a whole lot different performance wide and for 60 buck cheaper!!

  • STOP SLAPPING THE BOX!!!!!!!!!!

  • great video. i've just brought this motherboard my self (the exact same modle) and i've got it over clocked to 3.8 Ghz using the core i5 2500K, how much higher do u think i could go?

  • @donkeyshump4 well because the i5 2500k is 32nm and the UD5-B3 has 20 Phase Voltage regulation it would be easy to go into the 4 - 4.5Ghz range

  • @donkeyshump4 a lot lot higher, this board has 20 phase power which a bit of an over kill but does provide stable power on 1.25v you should get a 4.5ghz clock depends on your chip though. make sure you have a good after market cooler, if not stay away from cheap water cooling. good luck
