It is really quite sad that it matters so much to people. The only reason why it is relevant is the bittersweet twist it puts on the storyline between him and Grindelwald. I mean you can see the friendship there perhaps being more? And the fact he later had to fight him? It is sort of depressing.
It makes sense that he's gay. He never married, he talked about how "wonderful" Grindelwald was, so yes, I can see him as being gay. My question is, why does it matter? It's not a big deal.
exactly - who cares, Dumbledore is Dumbledore it's who he is and I can respect that even if it's a fictional character.
