The stove works very well without the fan on. Using the fan turns it more into a forge. It is useful to get the stove temperature up to 500 degrees when the jets start to work and gasify. Excellent video. I was not aware of the GSI pressure cooker. Also for urban survival, a 40 lb bag of wood pellets still goes for 5 -6 bucks and gives 150 or so 20 min burns with the wood gas stove. I also did not know about the solar panel. Thank you all you share with us. You have been very helpful to me.
@TheSonofthunder7 The video lists it as the "Woodgas Campstove LE". You'll find it by searching the product name on google or amazon. A lot of folk make their own version of the Bush Buddy style "rocket" stoves. Nice that they burn clean, use less fuel, and cook faster with the gasification process. Alternatively, a Dakota hole or brick-rocket stove can help reduce the smoke and flames if try to cook stealthily.
@steintanz You can find some cheap mini zebra and hawkin brand aluminum pressure cookers at E. Indian kitchen supply/food stores (often used for making dal/lentils)... unfortunately they often have plastic handles. Still, they're small and good for cooking quickly for one or two people w/less fuel.

Maybe if you took the pot off the flame for a couple of minutes and let the steam finish cooking it before you lift the lid, it would work.

@MrJoeyBoombotz I have 50 lbs of wood pellets stoored also. During wet weather they come in handy as the wood may get soaked after a rain.

@hazeywolf The GSI has plastic handles also but the WoodGsas Stove does not flame up very high and it won't burn them.
