Partialy. The pay-off is cut out of the video though. While Kryten is checking the chair the last time the Psychiatrist Stamps kryten's file with "Restore to factory settings". It was all just a distraction.

Considering the punchline takes all of a couple of seconds I find it odd that it was cut out of the video at all. someone at the bbc obviously has no sense of humour.

@sidebottom32 It is actually better American comedy seems to rely mostly upon slap stick but our English comedy relies more on logical comedy where like in Red Dwarf you have to think quite hard about the joke. But then again English have one extremely good slap stick comedy called Mr. Bean it is extremely funny with his actions and his facial expressions.

There are many different kinds of comedy exactly because there are so many different ideas of what is funny, and Americans use a lot more of them than just slap-stick. Many American comedies are based on stand up routines, and it is difficult to do slap-stick by yourself. I do find some British comedy amusing, but there is comedy in the UK that isn't all that funny. For instance, I don't find Mr. Bean especially funny, but that is only my opinion.
