  • Guthrie is the man! In my top 5 for sure!

  • guthrie amazes me very much so, he picks his soda up off the floor plays the bass part seth plays and then puts his soda back on the floor lol flawless

and the cream lick was really smooth and fits perfectly im gonna have to try that.

  • @feverlead I think that Soda is called Beer!

  • haha there is a crossroad part on 1:00

  • btw there's an R in guffry

  • Thanks to the internet and youtube there are more great technical guitar players than ever before. seems like everybody is awesome these days but what sets these people apart? Guthrie shreds without going over your head, almost like a horn player. He takes time to breathe. Yngwie is awesome and has been around for ever, however I can't listen to him for more than 15 minutes. Govan I could listen to all day!! To each their own

  • 1:05 - 1:09 he quotes Cream's "Crossroads". Slick!

  • @brainpolice2 Yes good spot there, have not heard that for a few years! lol...PLUS he got away with it!

  • Simply one of the best NEW faces to comes since Hendrix/Halen/Rhoads/SRV/......Govan? I think so ;)

  • From a technical mastery standpoint, he is better than any of them.

  • @yourmomtwice

    Allan Holdsworth?

    Bret Garsed?

    Bill Conners?

    Frank Gambale?

    Joey Tafolla?

    Vinnie Moore?

    Tony Macalpine?

    Etc etc.

  • well said

  • Thanks UncleRob.

  • jesus. c'mon, play the applause at the end, adds to the good vibe.

  • 2:49

i just got a high score on my gameboy

  • thats the best version of that ive seen him play!! wicked!

    thanks for posting!!

  • Does he gets blasted??

  • that ending always makes me laugh, lol

  • Guthrie is incredible. most exciting guitarist in the world right now.

  • @EOHRyan Tosin abasi, he loves guthrie. check him out.

  • @Phenomate Animals as leaders ^^, a mate of mine watches his videos every minute of the day, amazing player.

  • Satch has been asked about that G3 and Guthrie thing.... But it's all about money he said. The promoters of the G3 won't take Guthrie because he's not big/popular enough yet.

  • See I think this is BS. Satch ought to be calling the shots. It's HIS brainchild more or less and I think whoever HE wants should be on stage with him. Oh and Marty Friedman was there jamming with JP, Vai and Satch in Tokyo but they axed him from the DVD... WTF?? Friedman is a god in Japan. Wonder if there was a japan G3 show with his footage?

  • Yes, well, it's not up to Satch, according to him. I don't like it either dude :)

The only thing you can do is spread the word about Guthrie and what a great musician he is.

  • I'm sure if Guthrie played on a G3 his greatness would speak for itself. The music business sucks, being all about the money

  • isn't g3 also about promoting newer guitarists...?

  • OwnedRL, I don't think so. If you're referring to Johnson, Malmsteen, Petrucci, then you should know that these guys were already quite popular and well known in the guitar community. A guy like Malmsteen has actually been around for a long long time and in the past even had the attention of mainstream people. I think he was already 'big' before Vai or Satch even really got their careers from the ground.

  • But Guthrie is a Brit and he is ours..thanks Guthrie...

  • @brymacbluesband

    Allan Holdsworth too.

  • I think Satch should invite this guy to be on the next g3! what about you guys?

  • @foxtrotalex i think guthrie needs to invite satch to his own g3

  • @foxtrotalex I would kill to see that

  • Sold! One soul, to the devil.

  • my face...literally just melted off.

  • Yea he is a jerk. It was rude of him to steal all the guitar talent from the rest of the world.

  • guthrie you is arsehole

i'm trying to learn this whole song, but alas, it is not coming together.

    rat bastard!

  • hahahahahaha

    "rat batard"!!!!

    lol

  • Sempre grande!

  • 牛比~~现场能弹这么好~

  • he's soooooooooooo clean....dfla;ksdfjasd;lfkj soo fucking clean?@!!!!!

  • nice little clapton quote in there

    so awesome

  • He plays every thursday night at the Bassment club in Essex. A mere half hour drive for me, haha.

  • shhhhhhhhhhh

i have a record recorded from one of those performances, and it is quite grand =D

  • fucking monster

  • ehh, i don't like roadhouse he should stick to the mk50h and the hellcat

  • He's merely promoting the new Cornford amp, not replacing his current amps of choice (MK50H mk2/Hellcat). I too am not overly impressed with the sound of this amp from a glance.

Why Cornford are even thinking about breaking their tradition of British hand wired amps, just to made a more affordable amp is beyond me. You get what you pay for, why make a substitute?

  • are they not making handwired amps any more? or are they adding this to their range of amps?

  • Yes, they are still keeping their current range hand wired. Just adding a cheaper alternative for those that don't want to pay out for top notch gear.

  • Id go for the hellcat, but if its a cheaper amp, not everyone can afford 2-3 grand on an amp

  • i have an mk50 but have been rehearsing with a roadhouse recently....i like them just as much, its a differant sound but thats hardly a bad thing...

  • Elitist! The Roadhouse sounds great to me after trying one out. I think Cornford Amps know what they are doing. After all, the Roadhouse got the a Gold award in Guitarist magazine. As jamescornford says: "its a differant sound but thats hardly a bad thing..." - I couldn't agree with him more.

  • This is amazing, but has already been posted by yoggguuurt

  • He thinks he's an animal and he shouldn't be allowed to perform....!

  • jk of course!

  • Guthrie Govan. where that beard come from :P I used to work with him in the ACM

  • yes I REALLY believe you used to work with GG. Also, I believe in UFO's LOL

  • Why shouldn't he/she have worked with Guthrie? He does have work you know; I'm pretty sure he's teaching at BIMM right now for example, one of my friends who's at university there has had a pint with him.

  • i go to the music college where he teaches
