  • I love this video only for the accent. Narrator sounds like Bargain Bob or Dan Ackroyd. Such a cool voice

  • Great video. I was worried about buying a tungsten ring for my partner who works in law enforcement, because of the possibility of injury. You just set my mind at ease. Thank you!

  • Thanks, great video. Used it a few days ago at the urgent care where I work.

  • Great video!

  • In Russia women crack ring by hand.

  • Amazing.

  • My friend sprained his hand and the doctor told him that he must get his tungsten carbide ring off. I researched this and watched this video. It took us about 30 seconds to shatter the ring off of his very swollen hand. One word of caution, WEAR SAFETY GLASSES because the ring does shatter and fly apart. Thanks for the information!

  • Good educational video.

  • This is excellent.

  • Wow! Even easier than removing a gold one. So I guess all those warnings about them were just what I figured they were.

  • No one said tungten couldn't be broken, it's just a lot tougher than every other type of ring. It's so hard, that it breaks while other rings just bend.

  • I had a tungsten toe ring that stubbornly refused to come off. It was too tight in the first place and when a small amount of fluid enlarged my toe further, it had to be removed. Following the excellent advice in this video allowed to me to quickly and painlessly free my toe from tungsten bondage and avoid any further problems. I was amazed at just how brittle tungsten really is.

  • I am a Fire Chief and had a person walk into the Station with Tungsten Carbide ring stuck on an injured finger. The ring cutter did not even scratch the surface. I quickly researched this on the internet and used this technique to remove the ring. It worked great and the person was very thankful. Thanks to the help of our maintenance person as well.

  • cool.

  • That's awesome. The power of physics.

  • Nice video, planning to buy a tungsten ring but wanted to know this :)

  • a jeweler's diamond saw will take care of it just as well and will not cut you, just the same as the saw used to remove casts from broken bones.

  • @azuldiablo08 apparently not, I know of someone who spent a night in A&E trying all manner of cutting tools without success, they eventually used the above method to remove it.

  • Great video - my wife was worried about this very issue. She was concerned that if I was in a car accident or something and injured my finger that the doctors wouldn't be able to get it off since it's so tough.

Great explanation and great results. Thank you for posting this!

  • Thank you very much for sharing this video. I have the same exact type of tungsten carbide ring. Useful information to know.

  • you guys are da best

  • so tungsten IS breakable.

  • Very cool. I've been told by a couple of jewellers that nothing could be done to get the ring off if anything happened. Nice little trick.
