If only I had heard of the Woodstock Festival in time, I would have just left and hit the road to hitchhike across the country from my home in San Francisco to Max Yasgur's farm in upstate New York in August of 1969. Yasgur was the coolest "straight" guy that we'd ever heard of in those days of "kill the hippies!" He let the festival happen, and helped make history with his awesome kindness...thank you, Max Yasgur. It never would have happened but for you...
