@Ch33s3r its not that easy to do a short shot to those high loobs, as u might think, thats what i think :-) often the opponent chopped the ball or other spin is in the ball. Yes, its not that easy as it looks like.

the lob ball return like a bomb, you need a good control on the ball to make sure the ball return with a short shot and low speed. I only see Ma Lin fr china can return a good quality short shot

Hey you German donkey, don´t mention Boll in the same sentence as Waldner. Boll will absolutely never reach the level Waldner was on when he was best. The German mentality of loving Germans is well illustrated by your comment, the always agitated state of German sports commentators and a couple of historic events we all remember.

You can never compare sportsmen who didnt play agewise at the same time at their highest level. When Waldner started to loose quality Boll became No 1 in the world. Germans love or like german players as much as british love british players or danish love danish sportsmen. I don't get the fuss about Maze, he's won like 2 tournaments in his career and only has 2 wins against the top 6 players out of 25 matches. I think people like him just because he has a bad attitude, as shown here.

Maze is so weak from the crossover its unreal. He misses a phenomenal amount of shots from there. boll got so nervous towards the end of that 6th set. he missed like 2 easy touches in less that 4 points!

Some players try it with short stop-balls. But at 90% the other get them and can attack. And: this shots look good for television and this is good for the sport.

return those high balls is really tricky, since it s loaded with spin. need very good feel to put the ball back low enough and short enough, otherwise, you got attacked.

like the others have said, it hard to hit short shots against high lobs. You need both a great touch and good understanding of spin

the only person that can consistently win points by using short shots against lobs is Ma Lin... he is also voted the best short ball player by the Chinese

die quali ist schlecht, aber ich mein meine lieblingsspieler :) Leider hat der Maze vielleicht eine gute Taktik gehabt, aber der Boll hats ihm schwer gemacht und spielte ihm am Körper und da gelingen ihm seine verkehrten Topspin nicht so wie er sichs vorgestellt hatte... tja auf jeden fall spannend :)
