Could most people really realize that Minato died without FES? Without The Answer, I don't believe so. This is why I think there should have been an additional ending in The Journey after completing all Social Links. There would be an anime scene after the credits that shows Yukari, Junpei, Aigis, Akihiko, and the others at Minato's funeral. Then the social link friends of Minato show up as well, and Yukari and the others realize the influence Minato had on those people.

The MC dies but Ive read that Elizabeth leaves the Velvet Room to find a way to save him from his fate as great seal in Persona 4. So there is a chance he can come back. Enough people will have to want it though. Then the creator will most likely decide to do it. I think that's great. He doesn't have to stay dead. There is hope.:}

To be honest I was happier with this ending, and regret clocking the extra 30-ish hours in FES: The Answer. In the extra P3:FES content they turn what could have been a good ending into it into a bad ending no matter what you do...

My advice would be to see this as: the MC takes a quick nap while everyone comes back from the graduation ceremony. Next weekend, party at Mitsuru's estate, and then over spring break a trip to Disneyland with Yukari. Just good times ahead; no bs time travel garbage.

@etiv23 When the Dark Hour and Tartarus was created, Tartarus, growing out of the ground each night eventually left a great cove underneath its roots. Following the death of the Protagonist, the Abyss of Time was attracted by SEES' grief and sorrow and spread its influence there, rooting down below the dorm. So it wasn't like they had a choice. Besides, they were able to move on after knowing what really happened to the guy. Having closure and understanding something beats a trip to Disney.

@KidArez Agreed. The game is much better as a whole for the death of the protagonist. Without that, it would have had much less impact on me and I would probably have brushed it off. I adore Atlus as a developer for having the balls to kill of their MC. I really hope that, despite how much I love Persona 4, the story becomes darker in P5, much darker.

He's dead. His body couldn't handle the strain of keeping Nyx sealed inside himself and so he died and his soul became the seal that's imprisoning Nyx.

Even though it's a bittersweet ending where the main character freaking dies, it's so touching and heartwarming that I almost shed a tear. "Don't worry. I will always be by your side, protecting you." Why, Minato? ;_;

Also, I'd like to point out that the bad ending wasn't actually all that bad. It just left the story on a kinda depressive and disappointing note, and left you saying "... That's it?" If you get this ending first, then you're probably not going to want to touch that game again.

It's the orchestra version (w/ vocals of course). I got that copy of the track in the "Persona 3 - Reincarnation" album. That album is basically a remix of the popular tracks in the game. I like it better than the OST.
