The Lyman 577-611 is also a good bullet if you want a heavier ball with a slightly tighter fit. I've had a lot of luck with those too, I just still prefer the 575-213OS.
I prefer the Lyman 575-213OS. The bullets are a little lighter than originals, but they have a great look, are relatively easy to cast, and work great with my Armisport Enfield.
I've used the Lyman 575-213 New Style, but found it more difficult to cast because of the thinness of the skirt wall. I had to get the mold REALLY hot before the skirt will fill properly every time.
The Lee mold is cheaper, and works great if you're not as concerned about the appearance of the bullet. I'm just picky.

@WHOKAY25 Yeah!I know many things about it b'cuz I stay in India and the British truly made this cartridge from cow and pig fat in the form of tallow and they used it for lubrication so it can fire smoothly and efficiently. And the main reason that started the Indian Mutiny was cow was sacred to Hindus and Pig was offensive to Muslims. But this cartridge is different ! They used minie ball pre-lubricated with Bore Butter and beeswax instead of tallow as a lubrication.
My live-firing experience with it is limited, but even on my first time out I was very surprised by the accuracy. With little to no practice, hitting a man-sized target at 100 yards was simple. With work, I'm sure I could get the groupings fairly small.
Also, I was shooting with the sights the way they came when I got it. No adjustments. I haven't tested them at a bench rest yet to gauge accuracy. That's one reason I was so surprised by the "out-of-the-box" accuracy.
Ok thanks, thats good to know. Now I'm convinced that these italians are indeed better than their reputation compared with the Parker Hale. I'll post a video too when I have my own one ; )
@smithjub Hi, got my own Armi Sport Enfield now and I must say you were absolutely right about the out-of-the-box accuracy! I was shooting prone at 110 yards (100 meters, Germany) and it gave me groups of 4 Inches with 15 shots.
Then I began casting my own bullets, had the barrel fitted tighter to the wood, welded the sights to have a more precise picture and I made the triggerpull much lighter. Now I get amazing 2 inch groups, at least with the first 5-7 shots without cleaning! Great great gun

Isn't the cartridge made from cow or pig fat. Because this was the rifle which started the Indian Mutiny, wasn't it?

Perfect. Is she equally good at 100 yards? I think about buying
an Armi Sport Enfield for target shooting at this distance.
