@thedesertrose99 Then why is the mouse moving all over the screen without drawing ? If it's a touchscreen, the mouse should only keep track of when the guy is moving his finger, and not move to where his finger is gonna be.
Why don't we just take windows, azure and everything microsoft and put it in the recycle bin and just start over. No more DLL hell. No more BSOD. Even linux makes more sense.
well, this is more about CONTROL over your software. Yeah sure it may be cheaper than purchasing software, however you will be paying for EVERYTHING you no longer own. Including access via membership to windows live or some bullcrap.
@fooluhuru Uh, right. Have you actually used Azure or deployed a service that benefitted from it? Have you actually used Azure or programmed applications that use it? It's very useful. Plus I think MS knows more than some random YouTuber who probably isn't an actual real world programmer.
Basically you do everything from a server somewhere and the only YOUR computer actually does is connect when turned on, and if you have no internet, you have no computer, none of your data is private, its all on the internet 24/7, its like being hacked as soon as you turn on your computer and you can't do shit about it. its fucking stupid
When will I be able to run my entire computer/Windows 7 on the cloud? So that I could, say, log into my own computer by one of the computer screens at 7/11, or on an iPad? Security issues aside, I look forward to it!
@kasuskasus thats exactly what i am thinking about lots of times, i mean even concerning home automation... i wouldnt need a gigantic server at home, i could just monitor, listen to music, watch videos, work, programm, whatch porn in 3D, whatever from any multi-touch wireless display at home :)
and again security issues aside (thats for the real pro's)
ok im new to all of this and i heard about this some how so i googled " what is Windows Azure" and i got this and im still a confused what it is and what it does help???
This video rocks - very creative and clearly explained. To be fair, there is too much hype about the Cloud and it should not be treated as a silver bullet solution for all IT woes.
Do a web search for "Session SVC20 Bridging the Gap from On-Premises to the Cloud by Yousef Khalidi which is on if you should go to the Cloud and how to assess whether to have a public cloud, a private cloud, a hybrid solution regardless of who is
providing the cloud i.e. Amazon, SalesForce, Windows Azure]
The users don't pay to use Azure - the company offering the application (e.g. LinkedIn) pays Microsoft to host their application and then they (LinkedIn) generate money through advertising or subscriptions.
Given Microsofts' poor reputation with security, a lot of businesses are going to have a wait-and-see approach to Azure.
So basically you don't really own any of your data since it's basically all stored on someone else's servers in some nebulous 'cloud'. The end users basically have to 'rent' applications and data. And it's all tied to Microsoft so if they move onto the next thing in the future or go belly up for some reason you're just screwed. Great idea!
@Nephatrine haha thats too paranoid :D even thought Microsoft will never go down! lets say it happened, then you can build your own servers or you can buy another host quickly, what is wrong with that? today many companies rent their server hosting in other companies, so its same! doing with MS can be even better idea while MS is more/most stable one
so should we expect Windows Azure to be the dominant platform as internet2 emerges? Like win98 and DOS were back in the day ? oO Will there be other platforms? where will the hardware part of the "cloud" be located? Will windows azure have its own "cloud" or is it just a software platform .. damn, I'm so confused @@@
I am damn sure this video was made on a touchscreen monitor
