We got down to 7.26 and have been as fast as 186mph but still with major traction problems, even with a big wing and larger tyres we find outselves at only around 20psi boost from 1/2 track to be able to keep it in a straight line. The power is there for a 6, we just have to find a way to make it stick. Rob

yeah dude i know how that goes. i noticed it gettin a bit squirrely at half track. and looking at that track it seems to have quite a few dips on the 1320. idk how you measure it in NZ but thats what im used to here in the states lol. that could also be affecting it in some way. idk. again id have to be there to give any real input. i totally love what you guys have done and hope to either start something similar here in Arizona or at least see something like it. keep it up!

If you are lacking traction at the top end why not just but a big wing on the car?

That is what all the top fueler drag cars do.

@roflex2 If you check my later vids you'll see we did add a wing and got down to 7.26 but at only 181mph as it was still spinning the tyres hard. This season we have gone to much larger wings front, rear and side so we hopefully push for a 6.

Yeah its not the best racing the big V8s I literally can not hear anything from my car all the way down the track!!

We have lots of power to spare but no grip from about 150 meters out. So far we are on 6.8 second pace at 60ft and 330 and on 7.1 pace by 1/2 track then we have to back the power right off. I "think" its "possible" to run a 6 at some stage but its sure going to be alot of work from where we are at now, time will tell.

Best so far is 1.13 but usually 1.15 to 1.17, yes looking forward to Taupo, just hope there's plenty of grip and its not dusty.

It's pretty awesome to see you giving hell to V8's Robbie! How close was the other car? To me it was kinda funny watching this video because you hear basically old school(V8) against new school(RB30). The V8 sounding like, well, shit to be honest, and the RB sitting there and it kinda sounded like a small airplane or something. No disrespect intended. Like nismoknight said, hope you get into the 6's soon.

Cheers for the support, The other car ran a 7.20 but I beat her (yes her) out of the hole by a 10th so she beat me to the line by a 10th, it was pretty close all the way and I couldn't hear my motor at all!!! hahaha, bloody noisey V8s lol.

We are able to run a little more boost to 1/2 track where we are just on 150mph now in 4.6 but then we are pulling heaps of boost out and tip toeing to the end, its the only way we can get it to stick, hence the mph is so low for the ET, Robbie

Sad that the track seems to have speed bumps lol. But its awesome that you getting faster in spite of that.
