This is a tune of ningyo hime (meaning named princess mermaid). It is Rie Tanaka to sing also who is the actor of chii.

actually erm x.x; in this case i think it means more doll princess, because 'ningyo' means 'doll', and 'hime', 'princess'

your correct. Ningyo means doll but needs an extra "o" at the end if written in romaji. It should be elongated. However, the song title is Ningyo hime or mermaid princess, which surprised me because it doesn't have anything to do with mermaids. I think Ningyoo Hime or doll princess is more befitting of the song title.
