@jessi46227 Flamenco is not 'meant to be hard'. If you listen to old records, you'll see LOTS of pieces with only 4 chords. Flamenco just evolved and incorporated other elements, and, indeed, it can be hard to play, LIKE ALMOST EVERY MUSIC GENRE! Or do you think it's easy to play blues? Or jazz?

@uberget I would understand what i play, i am taught by the best and i teach other students, i am aware that most flamenco are soft but yet we are taught to be stern and hard with our hand to make the right sound. Besides, i have bever ounce said it was easy to play blues nor jazz, both styles are very difficult to play anything on the guitar is hard to play.They are called old records for a reason they are old. the flamenco usally has dances steping in various diffrent steps.

i know that having long fingernails helps with playing flamenco, but mine break too easily to grow out. anybody have any tips for fixing this?

yes. if they break because they're dry and brittle eat gelatin if you're not veggie and buy some tough nail to rub in. if like me they're hopelessly thin don't bother trying to strengthen them. cheat. false nails will work but are a pain and can fall off and look bad. i use a resin and polymer dust. you can get this from a nail salon. prob the best thing to do is go in and ask if they can sell you this or where to get it or look on the net, but get them to 'silk' your nails for you. don't get

It's pretty lame but do the press on nails with super glue. The good thing is you can file the nails to the shape you want/need. and you can remove them so you dont have "talons" all the time.
