isn't this actually in Am? the first chord is an A, sure, but then it goes to a C, correct? C isn't diatonic to A, but it's diatonic to Am. Also, play an A major scale over this and it sounds terrible but A minor pentatonic sounds great. So am I wrong or am I right?

@yoursweatersux Go ahead and play an E major over an E minor, it would sound like shit. So yes its in A, A pentatonic mostly. You could play a minor but it would be a little wierd sounding.

He wasn't saying to play A minor over A major, he was saying the track in general is in A minor, which is why you would play an A minor pentatonic or a C major scale like he said (as A minor is the relative minor of C major).

@Guitarloonatic Dude those have to be the drums to drain you. Every single part is there, and it sounds the same tonally (sometimes you don't hear all of the kicks in the mix, you know?)

@1201zj It's not the same, look up the drum part for drain you. (wich there is) It's the actual (unedited drumtrack) You can hear it's not the same. This one is slightly at a lower BPM. And the hi hat is way to loose in comparison to the one Dave uses in Drain You. Other than that, yes it's almost the same.
