I'll share a secret.... not so secret..... There is no word for "Love" in Native American traditional languages.... Just as there is no word in those languages to define the meaning to "Own" something ( or someone ) All to often people use the words love to describe a feeling of possession they feel towards that of another. I used to have a really hard time saying "I love you" to people. I would only say it if I really meant it. After I ment my friend Nick, that changed. He would say it all the time! He got upset cause I wouldnt say it back to him. He thought I didnt love him back, as a brother, so after a while I got acustomed to saying it. Its still hard for me to say the word love. There are us english speakers who say hate to just mean dislike, but when I lived in Japan, I noticed that nobody ever said 'daikirai', which is Japanese for hate.
