  • What are you talking about doubters? He was totally serious in this video.

  • Are you selling the Surefire ? because you didn't use any of it.

  • What's even more amusing then what I just watched are the couple of comments from people who were so short on intellect that the 'gag' completely went over their heads... Seriously, are people really that "slow"?

  • Yeah my thoughts exactly. Why did you buy the surefire only to use all solarforce parts?

  • lol, you call it a Surefire flashlight, but you swapped everything out that had anything to do with the Surefire you originally started with, LOL. it is now a Solarforce with a XM-L drop-in.

One begs the question, why exactly did you but the 6P?

  • @leukotic look for a video "how to convert Surefire 6p to 18650 battery" and you can see the end product of my 6p

  • I just have a question: since the T6 allows a maximum of 8.4v input, would it be possible to use rechargeable batteries (2) in a 6p, with these specifications in it: Tenergy 30200 LiFePO4 Li-Ion batteries: Rechargeable LiFePO4 RCR123A 3.0V 750mAhBattery Life cycle: 2000 times (Traditional Li-ion: 500 times) Working Voltage: 3.2V Peak Voltage: 3.6V Charging cut-off voltage: 3.6V Discharge cut-off voltage: 2.2V Capacity: 750 mAh Maximum discharging rate: < 550 mA Maximum charge current: < 550 mA
  • @xUdieToox It really depends on what kind of driver the LED is using. I couldn't tell you with just information on the batteries and led alone. I do know however that two rechargeable 123's will not be able to drive the XML its full potential bc of there low capacity=low drive Amperage

  • there is nothing left of the surefire!

  • hey dude !!! theres a video on youtube on how to customize a 6p to use 18650 batteries. looks pretty easy to do. why pay surefire prices when you cant use the body. video is called " how to convert surefire 6p to 18650 battery". also buy the real batteries on ebay they cost around 17 dollars each, there lithium powered and there pretty strong. dont get the cheap chinese 4 dollar one's.

  • @mobious212 LOL, I think I've heard of that video, considering I made it. seriously though, I have AW lion batteries and Trustfire batts and I can't tell a difference, and haven't had any explode on me.

  • no you have a solarforce flashlight and paid for a sure fire to take apart for nothing. Nothing on that light is surefire, so its not a sure fire light

  • So you bought the 6P because?...

  • @DialecticEclectic Exactly what I was thinking..

  • i wish i was pleased with my two nailbenders, both positive inner springs are very cheap/weak, if you give it a nice hard shake they change modes on me. One of my smo reflectors was also not the correct size for the emitter which created a really really ugly beam and the mode changing also had a pre flash. Im not sure if i want to buy another... have you bought other drop ins other than the xml?

  • @trbofrek I only own this one XMl drop-in from nailbender. but my experience w/ drop-ins in the past: MCE, P7 and SST-50 will have a donut-hole in the beam no matter what and XML will with a smooth reflector. for the mode changing issues, you could try stretching/elongating the springs for more tension. hold the solder base of the spring in place with pliers wile stretching it. also, make sure the module is tightly fited to the head, you can use aluminum foil as a spacing material.

  • @hugo2x yeah i tried those ideas, but i dont have an mce, p7, sst, or xml versions. i got a regular xpe r3 inside, and to compare with it, i have a cheap chinese xpe smo and the beam was very nice. I even swapped the reflectors, and the beam came out beautiful on the nailbender. the inner diameter of the reflector matters depending on the size of the emitter because the reflector he gave me was probably for a larger die emitter such as the xml. my spring does not look like your spring either

  • what is the run time of this module? with 2 cr123? or 18650? btw thats not a surefire anymore haha mine i just droppedin a 1000 lumens xml single mode module in my surefire g2 nitrolon work just fine with the daylight tint

  • @sunnytun I dunno the exact runtime. my guess is ~45min

  • @hugo2x aight , i will test mine with 2 x rechrgable cr123 3.7 volts real soon btw have u heard of visionX led?

  • @sunnytun I've never herd of visionX led, none of my XML lights (except the ThruNite Catapult) will except voltages in the 7.4-8.4v range.

  • @hugo2x try serch "visionX" on youtube....btw u in the states?

  • Is this a joke video? Nothing about the final product in this video is SureFire. You replaced the head/bezel, led drop-in, body and tail cap. You didn't even keep the SureFire batteries in it. All of the SureFire 6P is sitting in pieces on the table in front of you. That is NOT a modified 6P you finished assembling. You could have made the exact same video without ever having opened the SureFire package.

  • @NateInSaTx It was supposed to be a funny way of showing how all the Surefire and Solarforce parts are interchangeable.

  • @hugo2x Yeah, sorry about that..I heard that last comment in the video referencing it as a 6P and I just about lost my damn mind. Sooo many crap videos full of misinformation and blatant lies on youtube it's sickening. But after watching it again I realized there is no way you could be serious lol. Nice lights btw. I actually ordered an UltraFire C1 from DX which looks identical to your SolarForce, minus the markings. Gonna use the parts to mod my Gen1 G2. Too bad shipping takes 3 1/2 weeks!!!

  • @hugo2x Man this is one cool vid.

Can you tell me how much did the drop in cost you?

  • @lover01888 $50 shipped

  • Don't get me wrong, I mod EVERYTHING that I own. I'm just amused as it really isn't even 1% SureFire anymore. :)

  • @GenKraid I know, I love SF, I just wish they would keep up

  • Lol! I get what you're doing here, but its hilarious to watch.

  • Thats just a Nailbender drop-in in a Solarforce L2P host now haha. I wanted to be American and use Surefire everything but I think the L2P ends up being a nicer light =(

  • Nice video. But what was the point of using the surefire 6p for this video if you were going to change out everything for solarforce stuff? lol

  • @ejsst5 I wanted to show the interchangeability of the SF and Solarforce products. I do keep the warm white XML in the 6P but I recently bored it out to accept 18650's

  • how much is he charging for that drop in?

  • @davism4a1 I got this one for less than $50, price varies by what features you want.

  • HAHAH. yeah man, totally looks like my 6pLED defender. haha. how much was that drop in? and do they make one with the white light instead of the warm light?

  • @rYOUokay Yes, you can get it with whatever LED you want and whatever color you want.

  • great video , thanks, .........seems like ur brand new 6p is useless at the end ! :)

  • sweet light but i think a tank update is over due lol

  • So whats the point of the Surefire other than the tailswitch

expecially with the costs of the Surefire. Can you tell me where you purchased it from?

  • @OfficerSheepDog I bought it off of feebay for just under $50

  • very nice light, just curious how much does a surefire run? or is there any websites that offer flashlights at discounted prices? reason being the only place locally around here that i have found that carries high quality flashlights is gander mnt and they have a surefire there, smaller than this one and i want to say its only outputting 150lumens and it has a price tag of 159.99

  • @1gamoguy yeah they are pretty expensive because they have a military contract.

  • @1gamoguy the quality is phenomenal and so is the durability, but the efficiency leaves a little to be desired. fo a search for the "actual" brightness of that light and you'll likely get told that the brightness is much higher. they under estimate them alot, but be aware the run times aren't phenomenal because they're designed for extreme power lighting, not run time or even efficiency. if you want edc, MAYBE another company will serve you better. still, you get what you pay for.

  • @jimmyhoffa9 thanks for the info, i actually found a nice light at gander, its their brand name light but has a CREE LED output is 220 lumens, and iam hitting out past 200 yards with no problem, has a runtime of 1hour constant high beam 6 hour constant low beam and 16 hour continuous S.O.S flashing, price tag was 39.99 and has totally outdone all my expectations, even forgot to check my clothes when i washed them, light went through the wash and still works... cant ask for much more than that

  • @1gamoguy cool sounds sick. i way prefer throw lights over a flood.

  • @jimmyhoffa9 yea i was quite supprised since its non focusing, up close or at a distance the beam is consistent, outperforms my expectations, only thing that sucks is i have to buy batteries for it now, starting to get low, but no biggie 20 bucks for 4 batteries so its not bad

  • wow you used used so many parts and they all fit, reminds me a bit when I used to play around with beyblades as a kid. I liked to switch the parts to make them uniqe and better. Can this warm led drop-in you installed last longer than the normal one that came with the flashlight?

  • @mozezfreek777 yes, Nailbender builds excellent LED drop-ins!
