  • I have a chalazion on my left eye. I'm freaking out b/c my doctor told me that i need a surgery to remove this bump.

  • @GreenJanuary Check out my "Part 1" it might help you, that's why I made it because I was freaking out too. But I'm very glad I did it :)

Good luck and let me know how it went.

    Ken

  • hope tht eye gets better

  • @MRxFaBsNiPeRx21 Ya, that was two years ago and it never returned. :)

    Thanks for the kind comment.

    Ken

  • I just had this surgery yesterday and the bump is definitely smaller/flatter but still a small lump (don't know if it's part of the chalazion or if it's swollen?). I'm told to not get water into the eye, am I supposed to continue with warm compresses then? or do anything? Thanks

  • @spiderpig252 Just so you know I'm not a doctor, if you have any problems then talk to your doctor.

When I watch my video again it doesn't look like I have a lump anymore, no trace. I would continue warm compresses just to keep it clean. I was good after a couple of days :)

    Ken

  • im having the chalazion surgery done next tuesday and im really scared. What procedures do they do? Mines really tiny but it never goes away and causes styes to happen in my eye all the time and it wont go away so my only option is really the surgery.....what will happen after the surgery? will my eyelid be really red and hurt and will my inner eyelid hurt or feel anything like a scar or something?

  • @ecghost1 Thanks for the comment. Your fear is as great as mine was but watch this video and the one before this one and it should help you out.

I'll send you the links :)

    Ken

  • I have a chazalion and its starting to go away, but should I have it looked at??

  • @AlexsezRawrr I would :)

    Ken

  • @koolace88 Welcome back :)

    Ken

  • funny how looking at the surgery is worse than actually having it, i just removed calazio yesterday, didn't feel one thing, only the anesthesia shot, after that i was even having a nice talk to the doctor and laughing while he removed it.

  • @minored360 I love that you named it calazio lol

  • thanks for this,im having surgery for this in a month(back log lol)and you've really put me at ease!just a question, did your eyelid smooth out where the lump used to be?cheers and once agin big thank u

  • @heidih970 Ya, everything went back to normal in a few days :)

Let me know how your surgery goes :)

    Ken

  • I had surgery 2-3 weeks ago and its not going!!!!! ='[[[[[

  • @xafxcherry That's not good, call your doctor and get him to fix it.

Let me know how it goes. :)

    Ken

  • OMG! i'm getting my surgery tomorrow! I have 2 on both lower eyelids. So I'm guessing you'll be able to see the bruises since it's in the bottom,, right?

  • @blackstardust18 The brusing for me only lasted a day or two but was 100 times better than the Chalazion. Good luck with the surgery and let me know how it went :)

  • @KBDProductionsTV I just had surgery a few hours ago and it went great! The good thing was that I was calm through the whole thing so I never panicked. The only thing that hurt was the IV but other then that both of my eyes are fine. My right eye is bruising a little because they did the surgery through the inside, but my left eye has stitches because they did my surgery through the outside. You're right about feeling as if you have an eyelash on your eye. Other then that i feel great!

  • @blackstardust18 Glad everything turned out ok :)

  • @KBDProductionsTV What about the bruising on the outer eyelid? That's the only thing i'm worried about

  • @BBoiiLite The bruising was gone in a day or two. There is no evidence I ever had surgery :)

  • @KBDProductionsTV So the bruising you had on the outside of your eyelid went away? Because that's all i'm worried about, is a scar on the outside from the clamping.

  • Guys, I had just had mine done A week ago, It did not hurt at all but the injection, It felt like a couple ant bites on your eyes, but that's it, Take sum pain killers when you get home, Switch from evenly from hot to cold compresses, and it will be gone like mine (do more hot then cold) :D

  • i just got mine done today and yea i hate the feeling of the "eyelash" when i blink i hope it goes away :(

  • i just got mine done today and yea i hate the feeling of the "eyelash" when i blink i hope it goes away :(

  • i just got mine done today and yea i hate the feeling of the "eyelash" when i blink i hope it goes away :(

  • @SuperFuckshitbitch It wasn't pleasant, but it was worth it :)

  • I'm having a chalazion removed tomorrow looking forward to having it out can't wait

  • @Italia8023 How did it go?

  • When you said that it feels like there is an eyelash in your eye when you blink; did it go away?

  • @msfkthis Yes, a day or two after :)

  • @KBDProductionsTV Oh thank God! I might get the surgery on both of my eyes; it sucks! And thanks for replying so fast ; I appreciate it :)

  • @msfkthis Let me know how it goes :)

  • @KBDProductionsTV Will do :D

  • I just had the surgery myself and I was wondering..

How long did you keep using cold compresses?

And is your operated eyelid still droopy?

  • @endoduken I used warm wash cloths just to keep it clean for a couple of days and my eyelid is totally normal. :)

  • wow your eyes are really black

  • @lomparti It's just the bad lighting :)

  • Why do you do that? to see better ? cuz i cant see good long i cant see like car platenumbers when they are away, i want to look better.

  • i have one ahnd the doctor is too stupid to take it of -.-

  • @kikilisiouz Second opinion dude... find an eye doctor soon. :)

  • I had two chalazion surgeries. One in each eye. And now I have another chalazion, a really big one in my right eye. I`m a little bit scared because I remember the pain when the doctor put the anesthesia. That was the hardest part for me.

  • @elementalestudio That's too bad :( I'm just glad mine is over.

  • i had this surgery today have the bandage on atm its really annoying. have to back in six weeks to have it again on other eye FML

  • @sunflower7202 Yikes! good luck with that one.

  • @KBDProductionsTV aha thanks the bangage is off now i have a black eye doesnt look too pretty

  • Hey man im go into surgery in Feb 1 and im 15 i hav eto styes and i was wondering how long do u need to keeep the bandage on

  • @rlokz1 I had to keep mine on for 12 hours.

  • i have 3 chalazions in my eye one on my left top lid and two onmy right eye top and bottom

right now they are so swollen went to the drs and they gave me antobiotic ointment and 2 weeks later i get two more i hate this

  • @lilnou4u TELL you doctor that you want to see an Eye Specialist. NOW! An eye specialist is the guy who can help you.

    Ken

  • But then again it was free for me (Go Team Canada) and I might just go back and have the procedure repeated.

  • @CarnEHge I live in Ontario and it wasn't free, you must live out west.

  • I have a few questions:

    1. Was the chalazion on your eyelid on the same side as the bruise caused by the clamp?

    2. Did the bump go away completely?

For some reason it is the side opposite from where the chalazion was on my eyelid that is sore. It feels as if the surgeon made the incision on the wrong side of my eyelid. And the worst part is, 1 Day later the chalazion isn't even gone completely. He said there would be scar tissue but scar tissue is supposed to be tough.

  • @CarnEHge

    1. My bump was right in the middle and the bruise was on the side.

    2. Yes.

Mine went away completely. Give it a few days and then go back to the doctors if it doesn't go away.

  • @CarnEHge Update at 5 post surgery. The chalazion is still in same place it was before surgery. I flipped my eye lid to see if there were any scars and there are none. I doubt my surgeon knew what he was doing. Which doctor did you go to KBD? I also live in Ontario and if your doctor is anywhere near the Niagara region I'll probably check him out.

  • Hi I've had mine now for afew months and I've used creams and hot compresses and it still has not gone.I visited an eye specialist yesterday and my operation is on the 23rd December which isn't ideal I have to admit but i am self conscious of it and just need it removed. Can you tell me if it was swollen or bruised immediately or did that become worse after afew days. The reason why I ask is I want to go out on Xmas eve but don't know if it will still be bad as only 1day has passed.

  • @Maverick3117 I think mine bruising was gone on day 2. I remember it going away quickly.

    Recommendation: cool sunglasses.

    Ken

  • next week im gonna do the surgery..Im so so so scared :( Does it hurt??

  • @Hunting4TheLight It's not a trip to Dairy Queen, But I was not in pain.

No sharp pain , it's just not a comfortable situation. I was VERY scared too but it wasn't that bad for me. Good luck and best wishes!

Please let me know how it was for you okay?

    Ken

  • PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE !!! answer my question

I am going to a eye specialist tomorrow

Today My eye started to bleed the (chalazion) and when it was done it was smaller but its still huge did this happen to you??

    im freaking out !

  • @lauraloveeex3 No, that did not happen to me. It sounds to me like it got to capacity and burst.

Go see your doctor, and good luck.

    Ken

  • what kind of surGery did you undergo? is that injection process only that take 15-20 minutes or 5 minutes? PLEASE TELL THE TRUTH.. IM 15 and I have one,,,,,, it really low my self esteem PLEASE REPLY.PLEASEEEEEEEEEEE PLEASSE..........

  • @yvonneliezel I think you should watch my 1st video.

Surviving Eye Surgery (Chalazion Part 1)

  • what kind of surery did you undergo? is that injection process only that take 15-20 minutes or 5 minutes? PLEASE TELL THE TRUTH.. IM 15 and I have one,,,,,, it really low my self esteem PLEASE REPLY.PLEASEEEEEEEEEEE PLEASSE..........

  • I've had this surgery done three times already and it doesn't hurt at all, it's just a bit uncomfortable.

  • @Nadine1348 I agree.

  • Hi KBDProductions TV, i had my chalazion for 6months on my right eyelid, i tried everything, ointments, hot compress, both doctors medical and eye told me it was just a stye, but now i have it on my left lid too. i think its a chalazion, but how did u get rid of ur second one without surgery? i really dont want surgery. And btw if i do choose surgery, how much does it cost? (out of pocket)?

  • @calichicc209 I think it cost me around $300.00

  • @KBDProductionsTV thank you, i just had my surgery and took two out my left eye and one out of the right eye. it was actually painful but its my second day and its not that bad, still hurts a lil. the cost was around 450 for me. not bad at all! but im just scared to get it again. hopefully i dont. well thank you for posting your video, makes me feel better im not alone in the fight of styes/chalazions. really thought i was a freak for a while with those on my eyes.

  • @calichicc209 Glad everything worked out and may you never get one again.

    Ken

  • i can not wait for the operation, honestly its become quite the "eyesore".i mean like i needed help looking more ugly lol.

3 question thou, after the operation is the chalazion totaly gone??,i mean after the inflamation, swelling has subsided?will there be any residual liquids left in the eyelid?or will i be as good as new? thanksss devi

  • @MrLovecook My eye was totally normal a few days after the surgery.

    Ken

  • Thanks for sharing! Do you still have that feeling of an eyelash under your eye?

  • @Azbx23 No, it went away after a day or so.

  • @KBDProductionsTV

That must be quite a relief! Thanks for sharing...

  • how is your eye now? im getting surgery tomorrow and im scared. did your eyelid ever heal to its original look or is there a scar? and did the hole in the eyelid ever go away?

  • @Yakidix My eye is totally normal now. Can't tell I ever had a Chalazion. Good luck with the surgery, it will be over before you know it. Let me know how it went please.

    Ken

  • @KBDProductionsTV sorry man! i didnt get it done yesterday. the specialist only looked at it and schedueled the surgery to be in august. how long did it take for the brusing to go away and how did they numb your eye during the operation? and im from toronto!

  • @Yakidix The bruising was gone in a day or two and they put drops in my eye to numb it then they used a syringe to freeze it. Not pleasant but it didn't hurt, no sharp pains.

  • @KBDProductionsTV THANKS for all the the help. ill definitely tell you how it goes

  • @Yakidix Just relax... and drink lots of alcohol, just kidding. lol.

    Good luck.

    Ken

  • @KBDProductionsTV i ended up rescheduling my appointment and i just got the surgery done. it was pretty much the same thing you went through. the clamp hurt the most and i could feel the doctor taking the stuff out. the whole process hurt but im alive now!

  • @Yakidix I'm glad you made it out alive.

  • eek! i jus got it done a few hours ago

they put numbing drops and gel at first

then the needle (which hurt but it wasnt terrible)

and that still wasnt enough numbing bcuz when he started to make the incision it HURT so he numbed it again with the needle on the inside of my eyelid

and after that i could still feel the pressure of everything

it was uncomfortable but it didnt really hurt..its still a minor bump there which is going to go away i suppose...

  • @MiszMoss010 Your experience was much worse than mine. I'm glad you made it though.

  • I just had one of these removed last Tuesday...and just like @grimmy02 I drove myself home afterward lol. Wasn't easy though, as my pupils were still dilated. Did your eye completely returned back to it's original state after your surgery?-----DP

  • @dp102686 Yes it did. Back to normal.

  • Did the "eyelash under the eyelid" sensation ever go away? And if so, how long did it take? How exactly did you prepare your hot compresses? I've tried microwaving a moist rag but that doesn't seem to work. My chalazion has been in my lower eyelid for about six months. I've had smaller ones that eventually disappeared over time, but this one is the biggest I've ever had and doesn't show any signs of going away on its own. Thanks for your videos, they are very helpful.

  • @grimmy02 Hi, The eyelash sensation went away in a couple of days.

First thing: Make sure you talk to your doctor.

Hot Compresses: Boil water in a kettle, pour it into a shallow dish add salt, I used a folded paper towel and dipped the towel into the water and SLOWLY applied it to my lid. It takes a couple of applications to get used to the heat but once you do do it 10 times for one minute each time, 3 times a day. It should make the Chalazion come to a head.

    Maybe I'll make a video.

    Ken

  • Well, I just had my surgery yesterday! The most painful part of the whole thing was getting the anesthetic injected--quite a bit more painful than I expected, too, but after a few seconds I was fine. Mine was lanced with a blade, and thanks to the numbing agent I didn't feel the knife at all. After resting for 20 minutes or so, I was able to see clearly and drove myself home. No bandage, and very little blood. Relatively painless today, too. The only thing I hated was getting anesthetized.

  • @grimmy02 WOW!, I can't believe you drove after that. lol

  • @grimmy02 you're not supposed to microwave it, it will burn your skin

  • I just had a surgery to remove a total of 3 bumps in my bottom eyelids. Both eyes. My lids are super bruised. They look way worse than yours does in this video. Also, I can still sort of feel the bumps, like they didn't get rid of everything. I guess I will call them back on Monday and ask what I should do. I really don't want to pay to have it done again, and if they didn't remove the bumps, I am gonna be pissed that I spent about $380 for a weeks worth of bruises. Thanks for the video!

  • @SilkOlive That totally sucks, I hope the bumps go away and the doctor that performed the surgery gets a bunch of bumps on his ass. lol

  • @KBDProductionsTV

    Hi Ken,

How much time off work did you have after the procedure. Were you able to return to work the next day?

  • hi ken... i had my eye surgery today......i was sooooo scared but u were right..not bad at all...my eye is swollen but should go back to normal in couples days.. i just wanna thank you for video..it really help me a lot....thanks :)

  • @chichi347 I'm glad everything worked out.

    Ken

  • @KBDProductionsTV

    You're lucky. =(

I had Chalazion surgery on the 13th of May. It is now the 9th of June, and the thing still hasn't gone away! I've got another appointment with my GP, who will probably refer me back to the eye doctor.. so, that could take atleast another month.

I just wish it would go away =(. And I don't perticually want surgery again.. while it wasn't painful, it wasn't the greatest feeling I've ever experienced. Anyway, ta for the video. One day, my eye will be normal.

  • @Cultivatedignorance I don't know why some people have bad luck with the surgery, it must be the doctor. Try the really hot compresses with salt water 3 times a day for 10 minutes. That worked on my 2nd chalazion.

  • hi ken..im having my eye surgery on tuesday june 8, 2010..after almost 3 months with this bump in my eyelid..ur video help me a lot..cause am really nervous..my bump is like small pea..was urs like that? after the surgery did ur eyelid still bumpy or went back to normal? i've been reading about the surgery and some say your eyelid wont go back to normal... thanks

  • @chichi347 Mine was about the size of a pea as well. My eye did go back to normal a day or two after the surgery. I wish you luck and let me know how it went.

My friend video taped my lid, the video was called ... Ken's 3 Eye Balls

  • Hi there. Thanks for these videos. I'm getting this surgery tomorrow and I've been so scared about. I'm only fifteen so this really put my mind at rest and because I'm still so young and the doctor could see just how scared i was when i saw him he said that he would put me to sleep for the surgery. Again just wanted to say thanks for the video. :)

  • @fantasy1ox You're most welcome.

  • does your eye shape change?? by the way great video very helpful

  • @godspeed777pro I don't believe so, mine didn't.

  • do you feel anything while they do the surgery? Do they put you to sleep? knowing its a surgery

  • @AhmedSaleh20 You feel them doing something but you can't feel the pain. You are awake during the surgery.

  • Your eye looks great.

  • @knylvable and that was only 12 hours after the surgery. It took maybe 2 or 3 days for the bruise to go away, then it was normal.

  • Hello,

I'm having my chalazion removed on Thursday 11th March 2010, i've been waiting for my appointment for almost three months, however I have been given penicillin (antibiotics) for my tonsillitis which happened to occur right near the day of my operation. and I really cannot be waiting any longer. I need to know if i can be on antibiotics while having local anesthetic. or i could leave my antibiotics for that day?

im worried please could you give me information as i am worried.

    thanks Fred

  • Hey Fred,

Call the doctor and he'll let you know.

I think it will be fine to be on the antibiotics.

As for the surgery, you'll be a happier person when that thing is gone off your face.

Let me know how everything goes.

    Best of luck.

    Ken

  • did that feeling of the eyelash in your eye go away i have to get surgery for a chalazion in june and im worried about it

  • Hey Angie, the eyelash feeling went away in a few days.

You'll be fine, I'm glad I did it.

Please email me after your surgery and let me know how it went.

    Ken

  • ive had mine 4 two years

  • Go get it removed. You'll be glad you did.

  • I'm 12 and i have to get a stye removedbecause i have had it for 3 months and i have tried the steroid drops, and the hot compresses and sadly i have siked(sp?) mself out from watching how they do it on videos. was your eye red and kind of bloody when you took it off?

  • No, it was just a big bump.

  • I am probably going to have to get this done in a few weeks. Dr. just gave me drops and ointment but if its still there in 3weeks, then surgery, woo hoo!! Nice to know it wasn't too terrible, unfortunately I did watch videos of the procedure so am a little freaked out.

  • I have Chalazion too. I'm going to have my surgery soon. :(

& I've watched a video about the operation and it scares me. T_T

  • I was scared of the operation too, but now that I've had it, it' wasn't so bad.

Let me know how it goes.

    Ken

  • Are you sure? Does is hurt? Or, can you feel anything?

  • Well... it didn't tickle, check out my story on this video.

    "Surviving Eye Surgery (Chalazion)"

  • How much is the surgery? My Doctor told me it was a couple of hundred bucks, he wasn't very specific.

  • how long after until you could drive?

  • the next day.

  • i think i have one but it doesn't hurt whatsoever. in fact, it's hardly noticeable until i look at it. it's in my left lower eyelid. all i know is, i've seen the surgery videos and i was cringing every 2 seconds.

  • Mine didn't hurt either.

    Never watch the surgery videos.

  • how come mine still kinda looks the same

  • When did you have the surgery?

  • yesterday afternoon. did you put warm compresses on your eye after the surgery?

  • It looked better the next day but I think if was a couple of days before it was normal again.

Yes, I did clean it with warm compresses and the special eye ointment they told me to buy.

  • i have the same thing on my bottom lid. im a little scared to click on that link. and to get surgery. can you please tell me if it hurt? :(

  • The drops they put in your eyes really helps numb everything, and the needle stings very little and the procedure was a breeze. I don't like anything close to my eyes and I made it through. It's better than the huge bump on my eye.

    Ken

  • hey my name is zach and i have a stye. it's not very big, but everymorning i wake up and ya know my eyes watering, its itchy. but today i went to the eye doctor and he it will be sergically removed. should i be scared?

  • Hey Zach, I was scared when the doctor told me about the surgery, but after the surgery I was happy that it wasn't that bad.

DON'T watch any eye surgeries on YouTube before you go, it won't help.

Let me know how it goes.

    Ken

  • Thank you for posting this. Very helpful.

  • well thank you. my surgery is december, 4 930 in the morning, no school haha but, yes i will let you know. ttyl

  • i am scheduled for an eye sty operation on Friday, Oct 23, 2009 and right now im so scared and nervous on what will happen on that day. whew..... but thanks for the information it helps me to lessen the "burden". lol..

by the way, are you conscious while having the operation? does it hurts? do you feel the cutting procedure? im really scared...

  • I was very scared too, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. I was awake for the procedure but I couldn't see anything. They put drops in your eyes that numbs everything and then they give you a needle that deadens the pain from the scalpel.

Good luck on Friday and let me know how it went.

    Ken

P.S. DON'T WATCH ANY SUGERY VIDEOS BEFORE YOU GO.

  • hello my friend , i have a question! how much did you pay for the surgery??? thanks

  • It tells you in the first video, check it out. It's called "

    Surviving Eye Surgery"

  • How long did it take for the brusing/swelling to go away? Having this surgery tommorow :(

  • It was gone in a day or so. Let me know how it goes, good luck.

  • Thanks, I hope its quick too! My worst complaint is I can't wear my contacts for another 3 days! But still no pain, just a bit of swelling and a small bruise like yours...

  • Thanks, Ken! I agree with you - DO NOT watch the video of the surgery before you have it done! It is gross and very scary. I saw the vid after my surgery...I think I wouldn't have had it done if I'd seen the video first. The surgery wasn't bad! didn't hurt! so don't watch the video of the surgery first. The procedure isn't painful! Hope your eye is great now! (mine is still healing)

  • Both my eyes are fine now, thanks.

I hope your recovery is quick.

    Ken

  • Ugh!! I have a lump in my lower eye lid, so I think I will have to go through with this. That video you directed people to was pretty bad. Thanks for your video. I was glad to hear from someone who had it done, and not as worried about the procedure after hearing about your procedure. By the way, I thought Canada had free health care. Why did you have to pay for it? Thanks again brother. Cheers from Albany, New York, USA!

  • The Ontario government (OHIP-Ontario Health Insurance Plan) is cutting back on cosmetic procedures.

    Good luck with yours.

  • :( i also have the chalazion on my eye's upper lid same as you i will have to do the surgery on 9th sep...god i am so scared...

  • I was scared too, but after it was done I was happy that it went as well as it did.

    Good luck on September 9th.

And don't forget, it's better than an ugly bump on your eye lid. :)
