  • its too wet

  • fucking

  • fuck

  • It's a malay food..

  • hmmm is it suppose to be soggy?

  • @jaytok7 no it's not

  • this is not bryani......by far not....meh aussies....kind of an insult towards such a traditional dish

  • thats not how u make it

  • its spelled Bryani...looks delightful =)

  • @StarCraftCrazy no it is not spelled bryani, its spelled biryani... look it up -.-

  • this video is actually an insult to the people who invented biryani. you fat moron. biryani itself is on a budget, don't need much to literally make enough for an average family. what you made was a pile of sick

  • @whoregasmx you cant say that its an insult to people you dont even know. moron. xD

  • i am an Indian and this is not chicken biryani!!! its more like a variation of Singapore chicken rice!

  • YOU. FORGOT. SALT!

  • Comment removed

  • I can see people giving different kind odremarks some positive some negative but one thing is for sure this is not biryani biryani is layers of rice with masala on it the title should be chicken pulao!! Simple as that this is not about how our ancestors made or whatever it is just the way it is just trying to tell the difference between pulao and biryani nice try though and less water will make it more tasty by the way ur other recipes are really good!!

  • This isnt what we people call biryani (for people who says budget... well let me tell u you can achieve better than this on a budget)

This is what we would call pulav rice / chicken pulav but Not Biryani.. good effort not great

this is still like a pudding towards the end seems like u added in a lot liquid!

Love your fast food shortcuts though they are great shortcuts!

(if you would like a budget chicken biryani I could mail u one and you could try)

  • ooooooooooo lol i don't like that! it looks more like porridge.

  • Negative comments aren't needed here, if you have nothing nice to say then don't fuckin' say anything. He's trying out a new dish & broadening his culinary palette to different tastes from different countries. It's not gonna be the way you make it in your country or at home because everyone has a different take on food. Positive feedback is always good but the negative bullshit, keep that to yourself.

    Thanks Niko,

I love your food & your enthusiasm!

Keep up the good work :)

  • Why don't you tell us to add salt? That thing tasted horrible without it.

  • @zraffa88 Because biryani paste and chicken stock already have plenty of salt, too much salt is really bad for your health.

  • i think this is not a biryani..you should eat in india...you

will die for it and its made with basmathi rice

  • in Pakistan we make pilao like this.

    BIRYANI recipe is totally different.

  • @101Raim i totally agree with you...its not even close to biryani because it doest even have yoghurt mixed in the biryani

  • u put too much water,,,

  • @Missfable94 for every cup of rice you add 2 cups of water, he added 2 cups of rice according to the ingredients in the description so naturally you add 4 cups of water/stock which is is 1 litre.

  • this is totally wrong way

actually what u r making is pilauph in urdu pilao.

biryani is made by making layers of boiled rice and chiken or meat.

  • @positive5121 how is that not boiled rice and meat?

  • I am too dont make / prefer to make dishes of other cuisine wuth an indian twist, what's wrong?

  • Please make penis curry

  • woah O: this isnt how my mum makes it XD! we too desi

  • but that is so not how us desies make biryani :D

  • wow... non desi ppl making desi recipes :D

  • It's quite different than the biryani we make in India!!!

  • He prepared it more like pilau then biryani and the raita sucked...

  • it sownded good tell that brown stuff showed up it look like someone took a shit in the pan but win it got cooked it looked good agan

  • nice tip with the yoghurt and cucumber add a little bit of garlic paste and mix it very good and you are good to go

  • @DuneTheBrawler

Shut the fuck up . yur so gay . go fuck yurself

  • A nice quick weeknight meal! Awesome!

  • you spelled Briyani wrongly.

  • the rice is very wet

dont but chekene withe riceon top you must cocking privet withe spice

rice alone after that you can mixed together

    but i like you job

  • in the yoghurt and cucumber mix and some garlic and olive oil. THERE YOU HAVE IT!!!HOME MADE TZATZIKI!!

  • @aquaba17 Takes more than that mate, If u really want it to be good tzatziki takes a whole day. The yoghurt needs to leak over night. So that's a no go for a fast meal.

  • @aquaba17 instead of yoghurt youre suppose to use feta cheese to get tzaziki... yeah thats right i lived it Greece yo

  • yummy that looked nice.. he made it really delicious by his own tadte.. it was different seeing this because i have never seen someone make a chicken biryani in this manner.. it was quite nice and and it looked very tasty.. :)

  • To make the smell mor fragrant u must add some star anise

  • This looks really yummy but this is called "curried rice" in India and not Biryani.

  • 1:50 Mmmm...DOGSHIT! jk nice vid

  • EEEEEEEEEWWAAH!

  • Is that Basmati rice or just normal grained rice?

  • @TheSolse should be basmati

  • 3:32 you forget the garlic

just try it add some garlic in there !!!!!!!

  • Biryani is actually an Assyrian dish. NOT Indian.

  • @mERNSz It's actually an Iranian dish, coming from the region of Beryan, brought down to Indians by the Persians and the Mughals. :)

  • Looks great

  • hilarious, a recipe about mixing various "pastes" from a supermarket, really a way to save money. budget cooking? rather like student cooking :-)

  • Instead of letting everything cook in the frying pan, you should let it all cook in the rice cooker. The rice will really absorb all that liquid in there and be cooked through. (: The end result looked REALLY good!

  • thanks for all videos and recipes

  • rice looks undercooked.

biryani rice isn't supposed to be soggy. it should be soft but dry, like fried rice texture.

  • @fakhrai >>>isn't supposed<<< Who made the rules? Cooking is suppose to be free. He's not telling you, ''This is the original CHICKEN BIRYANI''

  • @CherryDarksorrow if that so, i might as well make fried rice and call it beryani.

  • that rice looks hella undercooked..

  • dude he even does not has the idea that why biryani is called biryani. its an insult of chicken biryani. he must visit hyderabad to see what biryani actually is.

  • This is so different than the original BIRYANI Arabs do... it is just different and i don't know but am sure it taste different too.. there is a restaurant me and my friends always once and a while eat in it.. its called "Bab Al-Yemen" and trust me every single time we eat BIRYANI or Mandi.. we get out there drunks because of delicious food and that rare original flavor.oh my God you cant believe how tasty are the rice and the chicken there even the salad.mmmmmmmmmmmm

  • I've tried using shop bought curry pastes with my own recipes. I tend to avoid them now. It's not so hard to simply stick in your own spices.

  • bilal paste.

  • Made this yestereday and was AMAZING!! One of my regular dishes now!!! thanks Nicko :)

  • Looks delicious😄😄

  • this channel saved me from starving death

  • he nicko can you give us an alternative for that balticurrypaste. I never seen it here in the U.S.

  • Yummyyyyyyyyyyyyy now I'm starving.

  • Im so hungrryyyyy but its 1.30 and im supposed to be sleeping ):

  • Since i have been watching your recipes and how to do them I have started cooking. I am on a healthy eating plan but just change some things around and there is a good healthy meal. Thanks and also for the yummy recipes too :)

  • looks good!

but would be better if its a bit dry!!!

but looks alright for a budget meal!

  • Don't claim the recipe as 'yours' when you have just copied it off a website or have seen it in a book you lying cunt

  • @lukeyrob123 chill the fuck down faggot. he's doing something in his life to help others. All your're doing right now is to try to stop him. Who gives a shit if he took a recipe? People are here to see how he cooks it. And prove that he stole it. Now fuck off.

  • @gothix114 your just mad because you cant suck the fat cunts dick

  • looks good, thanks for the recipe!

  • Just hilarious ... the really negative angry comments !!!!! ...... it's just a cooking recipe !!

  • Indian biryani looks as well as tastes awwwwwwwsmmmmm

  • Everyone seems to be forgetting it's BUDGET MEALS. It's not going to be 100% authentic ffs.

  • @WiiiCKeDFuRY THEN HE SHOULDN'T BE CALLING IT BIRYANI WHEN IT IS NOT THEN DUHHH

  • curry paste??? looks like he took a dump on the onions

  • keer

  • Im indian And When you added that cucumber with the yogurt its called H

  • you can add tiny sliced pieces of garlic in the cucumber yoghurt. fits perfectly

  • This is the same way I make it lol :)

  • I don't know if you take requests any more but can you make samosa

  • Do you really need the yogurt or can you take that out and still serve it?

  • YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY new recipe :3

  • One of my subs from England got me into curries! I did a vindaloo and now I am on kind of an Indian kick! That there is some good looking Biriyani! The price can't be beat either! Cheers!

  • MAC&CHEESE!!!! 8D

  • I thought you said moldy paste :P

  • Can u please do a a good saled or chicken burger and tell ya wife to do more on her channel

  • love the music in the background

  • interesting way of doing it, well done!

  • Comment removed

  • This is some very crude form of Pilaf or Plov.

  • You sure this is Biryani?????

  • Did I detect a bit of hesitation between "smells" and "wonderful"?

  • i have another way 4 u 2 make yogurt & cucs salad. take 1 clove of Garlic -depends on the amount of yogurt u use- for small bowl 1 very small glove will be enough. u smash it with some salt on it, add it to the yogurt if the yogurt is thick add very small amount of water on, then chop the garlic a bit larger than the size u did. that is the Palestinian way of this Salad.

I love ur cooking I did the fish & chips it was Super Wonderful, keep up the great cooking & backing.

    Best of Luck, Dina.

  • Stop calling your dishes "Badboys". It's getting ooold.

  • Terrible, this is more like a chicken risotto, not a biryani at all.

  • i thought its spelt as "briyani"

  • rice didn't cook well

  • @swetagoud You mad bro O>O

  • umm.... the spelling wrong

    suppose is briyani not biryani

  • @Alexg783 Google it.

  • The onepot chef could do it better ;)

  • If you want good tasting Biryani come to Singapore's famous Biryani hawker.

There are only a handful but taste delicious.

I haven't been to Pakistan, but I am not surprised that it taste horrible as Middle Eastern food has a tendency to be either too spicy/sweet (i.e. are either of thses 2 extremities).

  • GASP! HE DIDN'T SAY YUMMO! :O

  • mmmmmm yummy chicken and rice :)

  • Seriously hating the negative vibe on this post. People like you are the reason this world is going to shit. Your all just a bunch of loud mouth retards. Its easy to judge him on his videos if you want to, but I don't see any of you idiots brave enough to upload your own videos. If you don't like his videos stop watching. Problem = solved.

  • should i wash the rice?

  • That is NOT a biryani!!

  • Looks ok

  • the rice look pasty...

  • Man Biryani is not supposed to be quick or easy. This just doesn't work out, it's like having warm ice cream.

  • You fail at life.

  • aww bless.. although i prefer the traditional hyderabadi version... thumbs up for trying a different cuisine n making it simple for newbies!

  • Looks tasty!

  • great job looks so good

  • The overall result looks delicious. But that paste looks like it's already been digested.

  • 'bring it to the boil'

  • if it tastes nice.. who cares if it how it should be made

  • love it niko

  • please do orange chicken with measurements

  • Thank u :)

  • 1. from what i can see the rice is not cooked properly, or may be it is still raw. pls tell me it is right.

    2. if u are trying to simplify too much things. the dish is not authentic anymore. so pls...

  • On the video you add water, but it doesn't say water in the ingredient bar below???

  • @meemster786 checkout 'titlinihaan' for original recipes

  • Just happen to have chicken in the fridge. Short on ideas until, Nicko, your video arrived. Great, great flavor combinations. This is really a lively set of ingredients, promises to be a very fresh taste alternative to the overly familiar (it's the dead of winter here) stewed chicken and noodles.

Nicko, your channel is so well organized, your videos are informative, concise and quite fun to watch. I consider you an ambassador for Australia, and you succeed around the world. Thanks again!

  • Just had this for dinner on Sunday and Monday fucking tasty!

  • LOL @1:53!!! it kinda looks like a pile of shit!! but dont get me wrong the dish looks amazing in the end :)

  • @spartaxl123 lol... but give him some credit for trying

  • nom, looks yum, i will have to try this out some time

  • Instead of garlic and ginger paste could I just use chopped garlic and ginger ? Will the proportions be the same ? Look yummy

  • @MissBouclette1 fresh garlic/ginger taste even better, instead of the balti paste, u can use garam masala powder (add salt).. nicko shows us the simple n quick methods.. get the original recipe from 'vahchef' (indian chef)

  • @MegaTruecolours Thanks so much! :) I will try the simple way out first haha

  • Love this guy! I don't make anything that he does, but I just love his videos!

  • is there something else i can use instead of onions? allergy issues

  • @katelync0 just use the garlic n ginger.

  • Hey, everyone disliking nikos vids. I really dont get why so many people complain about the recipes not being "right" or as you please, but you just cant seem to understand that he is making it HIS WAY and not like they do in some fancy cooking book so stop bitching until you have tasted it, and know how good it really is.

  • @zxpwndzx im sure you still havent tried it either so how do you know if its going to be good or not either you hypocrite. probably time for you to jump off niko's dick eh?

  • Hence "easy" you arguing dopes.

  • why are almost everyone bitching about not being a real Chicken Biriyani?

  • Dear I love ur recipes but this is not Biryani ... dun mind but it is actually not at all biryani. this is some thing else... OMG u made a new dish try to give it a name of ur choice but dun call it biryani ... u can have ur own patents of this dish.

  • I hate his buget meal mondays, they're always so painfully pointless. It would be much cheaper and much tastier to just by a bloody jar of biryani sauce. Which he's basically already done, as he bought a jar of paste, usually made by the same companies who make the sauce jars. Waste of time Nicko, what a pointless video to use as your first for the new year.

  • Dude this is shit , if you eat Biryani in Pakistan , ull be shocked

  • @DuneTheBrawler biryani in pakistan sucks !! come to india bitch

  • @ProGamerZ3 Haha, that's a good one :-)

  • @ProGamerZ3 India uses cow piss and cow shit, no thanks,

  • @DuneTheBrawler I did, and it exploded

  • @DuneTheBrawler dude !! its not shit !! its something different thats what cooking is about .. keep on cooking nicko :)

  • @DuneTheBrawler

dude shut the fuck up, there are so many ways you can prepare a dish and this is his way. Everyone has a different take on meals. So if you have negative comments, don't say shit, keep them to yourself cause no one gives a fuck.

  • @sahilflow yeah well what if you went on youtube and saw a video that was an offense to your religion culture and that of your ancestors. i thikn you would be pissed too...these people are deeply offended spiritually so i can see they have to vent through comments

  • @werewasyo There are several videos targeting religion and culture & I'm sorry to say, this is definitely not one of them. This has nothing to do with your ancestors nor your religion, it's just Niko recreating a dish & showing us how to do it the "easy, budget beneficial way". Stop being an ignorant fuck & leave this page. I'm Indian & I take pride whenever someone tries to recreate a famous Indian dish. & through what you just said, made you look like the biggest idiot commenting on his here.

  • @sahilflow here is my bowl of care , dipshit

  • @DuneTheBrawler Fuck you, your mother, your wife, all your descendants, your dog, your keep and your dick. Keep your poisonous, slimy, radioactive sperms and your words to yourself, Dune. One last thing....Fuck a virgin in the underworld through you afterlife!!!!

  • @TheVinfred just like i fucked your mom + whole family ? oh im sorry that was my serveant fucking them

  • this is more like a polao than biryani.....

  • yay your making indian food thanks alot for representing man

  • I am really shocked !!! this dish is not a biryani plus we are expecting somthing more professional

  • This looks really tasty :D Don't really care if it's "real" biryani, but it looks good and reasonably affordable to make. Yaaay, good job :D

  • nice dish nicko, looking forward to a great 2012 from you :)

  • @cupchange....buhahahaaa good one ;)

  • This looks good! I am going to try making it. Thanks Nicko.

  • Ummmm some people are a little too literal lol....maybe just maybe did you guys think that this was just his version of the biriyani hahaha
