Tanning is nasty too, it's illegal for girls under 18 to tan in the US because the rays cook your organs and burn your skin. Tanning is not natural. Whitening is not natural , the chemicals break down components in your skin leading to cancer and strange spots and sores.

Instead they use sunless tanning products like, spray tanning, tan in a bottle, or the tanning pill. Technically fairer skin has always been more favored due to medieval connotations.... The upper class, nobility, royalty, etc. are paler because they spend most of their time indoors and do not have to engage in menial labor. There's a reason why nobles are referred to as "blue bloods" because they're paler skin make their blue veins more apparent. So yeah, Indians are just going through a phase.

Instead they use sunless tanning products like, spray tanning, tan in a bottle, or the tanning pill. When they try using natural sunlight (or even tanning beds) not only they will look like a cooked shrimp but it'll also increase the risk of skin cancer and premature skin aging...all that before they even get any "color"

The upper class, nobility, royalty, etc. are paler because they spend most of their time indoors and do not have to engage in menial labor. @pamew The army took America, by guns, and there were local feuds between white settlers and Indians as well. The point that I was making is America and all other English colonies were taken by guns. Wasn't America an English colony, or was it a Chinese colony? Were the pilgrims English or Russian? Last time I checked they were English. Before colonization England was a poor struggling country like many others, and they sent a large portion of their poor to the colonies.

@1513tyler Technically that's wrong, India wasn't a Stone Age Civilization like the people of the Americas. India prior to British conquest was arguable the richest area in the world in regards of resources. The Mughals have been using muskets since 1519, hell because of the superior quality of steel Mughal muskets were able to use more gunpowder than European guns

@1513tyler Another point to be made is Tippu Sultan, a south Indian ruler who resisted the British, he is remembered for introducing rocket artillery to the British, by shooting it at them hehe. Anyway, you're probably wondering with all this technological advancement how did the Indians get conquered? Well it goes to an age old philosophy, divide and conquer, see the British weren't stupid, they ruled by having the indigenous groups fighting amongst eachother rather than unifying

@1513tyler Frankly, the reason why England was such a successful Empire was because they DIDN'T conquer/invade other countries, they simply politically manipulated unstable regions of the world by manipulating indigenous populations. That is much more valuable than winning any war could be, as Sun Tzu wrote "Those who win every battle are not really skillful, those who render armies helpless without fighting are the best of all".

@siant666 yes they did use divide and conquer. But they were able to bully nations using the gun. Otherwise, they would have been driven out of many nations. It was spears, swords, bows and arrows that fought against the gun, and the gun won. This is quite obvious. Britain came into India for the cotton, and overran India militarily. Why else would they go to India. Read history, England exported most of the Indian resources/products back to England.
