I'm guessing they went with a different openeing for the movie than in the comic. If anyone who has read the comic they'll know that Rorschach's journal(the first one in this video) is the opening of the comic and the scene is him with a sign "the end is nigh", walking around the spot where comedien died.
It starts off with the Comedian's death and then the opening titles. It still has the classic part with him walking with the sign. But the journal entry isnt read at that part I think.
It's worth noting that in the original GN Rorschach Visits Veidt and says that the meeting with Veidt left bad taste in mouth, but in this movie Dan sees Veidt not Rorschach, not really sure why they changed it just noticing.
There's a clip for the movie where Dan is actually seen warning Veidt, not Rorschach. I guess it was because at this point there would be too much Rorschach, and by the looks of it, it seems to work well.
I also find it wierd, especially since in the graphic novel Rorschach and Nite Owl 2 are friends despite their differences, so to hear Rorschanch insulting Dan seems odd.

Nice attention to detail with the airship and the full moon. The Nagel posters, while not in the comic, do work in selling the year of 1985.
With the wonders of hi-def you can see they wrote a custom (albeit poorly-written) article on the capture of Moloch.
Only visual disappointment was not getting the Superman shield in-joke on the sign for the Rockefeller Center.

Music sets the tone, and the music he chose made the movie feel campy and lame and with bad music over serious scenes it's hard to get a connection with the characters.

I can't help but shake my head at the fact that there's an argument on this video plumbing such irrelevant depths as to accuse some random person of not having a personality. Absolutely ridiculous. Nothing to do with Watchmen.

Yeah. You'll notice this clip has been heavily edited because Rorschach says some harsh stuff. Like after he talked about the liberals he originally said they "now stare into bloody hell." He also called the first silk spectre a "bloated aging whore" originally. I can assure you his entries remain intact in the actual movie.
